d-grizzlyParticipantWhich lineup looks better to you?
just say west or east…
Bynum(healthy)
Dirk
C-anthony
kobe
cp3vs
Howard
Garnett
Lebron
Wade
Rondo0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:12am #186064

d-grizzlyParticipantI’m gonna say east steals this.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:12am #186065
BasketballGuru24ParticipantEast No Doubt…..They have a bigger defensive presence then the west

so id say east wins 3-20 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:15am #186067
xbadgerhustlerParticipantEast… KG-Dwight-LBJ would be the most ridiculous frontcourt ever
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:17am #186068

knicksfreakParticipantIdk about Rondo. I’d prefer a PG that can actually shoot. But East wins anyways.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:17am #186069
UltimatekingsfanParticipantANDREW BYNUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA straight garbage.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:18am #186072

knicksfreakParticipantYeah maybe Amare should play C for the West.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:18am #186073

d-grizzlyParticipantyou can call him garbage, i really don’t give a $hit. the kid can guard somebody decently even when he’s not fully recovered.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:21am #186074

llperezeast front court would have an advantage. But west backcourt would own the east backcourt. Bynum is way underrated if he’s healthy, so it would be close, but I’ll roll with the Kobe CP3 backcourt.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:23am #186077

knicksfreakParticipantI think a D-Wade + D-Rose backcourt could give Kobe and CP3 a run for their money.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:24am #186079

d-grizzlyParticipanti think rondo has the potential to guard players like cp3. kobe would have some trouble with wade guarding him…but no more trouble than usual for the guy…kobe scores period.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:30am #186085

llperezrondo is a straight scrub unless he has the ball in his hands to run the offense. And you think Lebron and Wade are gonna be on, just standing on the perimeter while Rondo dribbles around? On the west, Paul and Kobe can penetrate while Melo and Dirk spread the floor and hit J’s. The make up of the teams favors the west.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:30am #186086

knicksfreakParticipantHow the hell does Dirk trump Garnett?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:32am #186082

dwat4444ParticipantPaul trumps rondon, Kobe trumps Wade, Lebron trumps Melo, Dirk trumps Garnett, Howard trumps Duncan(Replace him with duncan) So west wins in my eyes. Now time for backups…
1. Williams> Rose
2. Roy> Johnson/Iguodala/Carter
3. Durant>Pierce/Granger
4. Gasol< Bosh
5. Bynum< Shaq0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:34am #186089

dwat4444ParticipantLet’s see umm… Dirk scored 26 points a game last year. Garnett scored 16 a game. C’mon. Let’s all jump off his Bandwagon(don’t forget to role) now. He’s not that good. Don’t give me that emotional shit. Dirk is better.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:35am #186091

knicksfreakParticipantDurant is not better than Pierce and Granger.
I think Johnson is better than Roy.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:37am #186092

dwat4444ParticipantI’m saying pierce or granger and he is better. He’s a better rebounder and scorer than both of them. Johnson and Roy are close but Roy can create more so he gets the edge.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:37am #186093

knicksfreakParticipantGarnett is one of the best defenders in the league while Dirk flops when a PG runs into him. You are crazy. Garnett is twice as good. KG also shares the ball with Allen and Pierce. Who does Dirk share the ball with? Nobody. Look at how many shots each player took.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:38am #186094

knicksfreakParticipantIs defense even a consideration for you. Johnson is a better defender than Roy and Durant plays no D.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:38am #186095

llperezdurant is better then Pierce and granger and I think roy is better then JJohnson, aalthough I don’t know what that has to do with anything.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:42am #186098

dwat4444ParticipantYou ever think that Garnett isn’t really that good and maybe ESPN just hipes him up cuz he’s an East coast player now? He never got that much attention before…
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:43am #186100

d-grizzlyParticipantyou said it homey.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:57am #186122
ricks17Participantno, no one should think that garnett is not good. like you said he scored 16 a game, on a stacked team were he is no longer a 1st option, and was hobbled by injury so not too bad. he doesnt need to score a ton for them to win. I know hes not as good as dirk on offense, but hes one of if not the best defensively still at this stage in his career. he is not hyped, he is amazing
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 8:58am #186125

dwat4444ParticipantI’m not saying he’s not good but I am saying that I don’t consider THAT good like top ten best in the nba.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 9:03am #186134

knicksfreakParticipantName 10 players better in the NBA?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 9:03am #186136
xbadgerhustlerParticipantDWAT that is the dumbest thing i have ever heard anyone say. you just made yourself sound like an idiot.
To even compare KG and Dirk based on their PPG shows you know nothing about basketball. that’s just foolish. Their PPGs merely reflect their roles on their respective teams, not how good they are or how much they mean to their team.
that was ignorant.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 9:10am #186146

Toronto16ParticipantVery easily the East

dwat4444ParticipantLebron, Kobe, Wade, Paul, Howard, Duncan, Williams, Gasol, Roy, Melo, Durant, Pierce, Billups, Granger, Dirk, Parker, Gay, that enough for you? All those players are better and I know that I missed some. By the way Terry and Howard do more scoring than Allen and Pierce yet you say that Dirk has to do more scoring for his team than Garnettt does?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 9:15am #186156
xbadgerhustlerParticipantDWAT, to compare 2 basketball players based on their PPG is ignorant. period.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 9:22am #186162

llperezBut coming off an injury and at like 32 years old, I expect KG to be losing a step next year and it will be closer between him and Dirk. But anybody who watches KG should know that his impact on the game goes beyond points. He supplies a level of energy and defensive intensity that reverberates through the whole team.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 9:22am #186163

knicksfreakParticipantHaha did you really put Gay in the conversation. The only players you can clearly make the case for right now are the first 4 players you wrote. I forgot you are only 14 and that you dont realize that his numbers dropped off when becoming part of the big 3. He is one of the best defensive players EVER! He also has maybe the best well-rounded offensive game for a player his size ever as well. He can shoot, drive, finish, pass, and he is a true leader. Something that is rare in the league nowadays.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 9:24am #186165

R-Dot-13ParticipantGarnett is still better than Dirk now, but coming off that injury and his age.. it may be getting closer.
But he is still at the bottom end of the top 10 players in the league. And Rudy gay is definetly not better than garnett right now .

xbadgerhustlerParticipantyou guys act like Dirk is young and just getting into his prime or something… i’ll give you the fact that athleticism is less important to his game, but the dude is also getting old.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 9:29am #186174

R-Dot-13Participantof course dirk is getting old too, but Garnett coming off that injury may make him lose a step.
Both are obviously great players, and it is close who is better, but it is garnett.0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 9:29am #186175

HaleParticipantDirk does not trump KG. Garnett would lock Dirk down no defense and bully him on offense. No contest Garnett wins that.

LeBron

0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 9:53am #186225
MallStax5Participantstartin lineup but it would also depend on the bench.
the west bench would probly be deeper which would be better.0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 10:11am #186257
ricks17Participant“You ever think that Garnett isn’t really that good and maybe ESPN just hipes him up cuz he’s an East coast player now? He never got that much attention before…” dwat4444
I don’t even know what that statement means, ESPN hypes him because hes an east coast player now? I don’t even get what that means. And to say that he never got that much attention before is honestly retarted……….Garnett was scouted as being a phenom by the time his 2nd year of high school came around. Your 14 and you wouldnt understand what he did in minnesota carrying them to the playoffs year after year. You probably dont appreciate what he did for that franchise basically by himself, because of your age you probably just remember the last couple years that he was with the timberwolves and thats fine. but to say he didnt get much attention before is crazy, he was in all kinds of commericals, won all kinds of awards, had his own shoes. most other guys would agree on here because they understood how good he was in his prime, dats not a knock on you, its just the fact that your a bit younger.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 10:14am #186267
MallStax5Participantricks you right Garnett was never onverhyped cuz he lived up to his hype
he was just stuck in minnesota..
he was the ONLY player to ever get alot of hype outta minnesota year after year
and he lived up to it.
Garnett
Duncan –
two best powers in the game today0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 10:15am #186274
xbadgerhustlerParticipantKG has made the all-star game, i believe, every year except his rookie season (his 2nd season he made it as an alternate)… he’s definitely been recognized as a great player for a long time.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 10:18am #186280

llperezI think he is the third best pf ever behing Duncan and Malone. As long as he does’nt do that “anything is Possible” stuff anymore, then he is still great in my book.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 10:20am #186284

crazyknicksfanParticipanteast. garnett and howard can easily out muscle dirk and bynum in the paint. plus i’d take lebron any day over melo
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 10:20am #186286
xbadgerhustlerParticipantcome on LL, hating on KG cuz he was excited after 13 years of working hard everyday and not winning anything? give my man a break
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 10:20am #186287

d-grizzlyParticipantwhen kg isn’t barking or taunting a player on the court, i find him to be the best defensive pf in this league.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 10:21am #186289

HaleParticipantYou have a sick picture, LeBron looks good in that jersey.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 10:23am #186293

llperezHe has every right to be excited. But that yell seemed fake as hell. Whatever happened to the fist pump with a “WHHHOOOOO!!!!!” That is all that was needed.
