most overrated prospect

Many people (including me) believe Alabi will improve from his freshman year

The prospect that overrated to me is Devin Ebanks. I saw alot of big east games last year and he seems more of a mid 1st rounder. He lacks that go to move and is altthough he has a solid shooting stroke, he is a streaky shooter. He needs to also show me a he can be a threat at the next level.

DeMarcus Cousins! He should go mid to late 20’s at best, he is the laziest guy ever and sucks at rebounding and defense.

Xavier Henry. Hes not very athletic and not a great defender. Maybe a less athletic Martell Webster.

Henry is going to be a good player, i don’t know about him being a star but he will be able to score in the NBA, and he isn’t unathletic he put on a lot of weight and was in that car accident. He will show a quicker first step this year.

He is still shown as a 2010 first rounder, unless he has a monster senior year he will be hearing his name called by Adam Silver and not David Stern.

I think Donatas is overrated. He is a weak big man that plays on the perimeter too much. How many of these guy have been hyped up over the years. Just another bust waiting to happen.

Alabi screams overrated, but by February he’ll be in the 20-30’s on everybody’s draft boards. He isn’t going to have a breakout season, not as big or as polished (thats not saying a lot) as Thabeet, He is listed high now, on potential, but he won’t live up to it this season, Mullins was top 10 last year at this time too

Evan turner is not matt barnes at all. but anyway tyler smithisnt overrated….he’s just sorry. Ed davis i think is overrated becuase ppl are talkin abou thim purely on potential. didnt ppl make that same mistake with jonathan bender? look how he turned out. and another player i think is overrated is xavier henry. i think he will be successful in college but i dont see him being a star in the NBA

I’m a carolina fan i watched alot of their games this year and ed davis really didnt show me nuthin he hustle and rebound put he has no offensive game and he is very thin.

Seriously, this guy is not impressive (all of the time). He has “spurtability” (I hate Clark Kellogg), but this guys motor seems to often go on autopilot. He plays hard for a play or two and then he fades into obscurity. Also, I don’t think he is quick enough to be a SF at the next level. IMO he is overrated.

Also, how does Jarvis Varnado drop to the 2nd round of this mock draft. You have to be out of your mind to think that he will not be a top 30 or even top 20 prospect next year. This guy plays hard every play and has lead the ncaa in blocks the last 2 seasons. Last time someone lead the ncaa in a category for more than 2 seasons and got drafted in the 2nd round, they turned out to be a real steal. Y’all ever heard of paul millsap ?

he is definately top 5 and a monster prospect. I WILL wip this thread out in 6 months. He didn’t really have much opportunity, but just had an enourmous impact when he was on the court. The type you have to watch to see how he affects it. Swats, gets every rebound. Basically, the thing with him was that he situationally wins most matchups on both sides of the ball.
I will admit that before I watched him play I wasnt sold on Evan Turner juts because i hate Ohio State and theyre most succesful player as of late was Cook with the heat IMO
However, Turner is a monster. He is a really skilled ball handler and penetrater who can really make things happen and is very fluid. Watch him break down the D, its pretty impressive. I like him Lotto.
Cole Aldrich is a worse Kevin Love with long arms IMO
But Larry Sanders is nottt a lottery talent as of now. Allllll he has is wingspan and decent 4 height, but is rail thin and doesn’t have a single NBA quality offensve skilll. Hopefully he tears it up, but I dont see 10 ppg in the CAA translating to the NBA

also, I’m a big Tyler Smith fan but he’ll be limited in the NBA.. but him and Josh Howard play very much alike but I think he wont reach Josh’s overall skill level
