Frusciante00ParticipantI really like the way he reads the game, in my opinion, he will have a long NBA career with his abilty to score in a variety of ways, high IQ and good playmaking skills. There is only one issue concerning his health, because he looks a little injury prone. I’ve heard comparisons between him and CJ McCollum, wich I think is an awful comparison, Shamet is better at involve his teammates while CJ is a go to score guard with good physical attributes.
What do you think about Shamet? Could he have a succesful career in the nba? What kind of player could he become in the league? Have you a fair comparison?

TheLastWordParticipantVery versatile PG, long enough to play SG. Great catch and shoot, not sure about off the dribble? Just average hops and speed.

Evan_MilbergParticipantI see a bit of George Hill in his game – a guy who can set up your offense and be a reliable scorer, but isn’t quite athletic enough to be more than a rotation player or sixth man.

Frusciante00ParticipantHe won’t be the defender that George Hill is, but i think he can be a more efficient scorer.

Here’s what I said about him and his teammate Austin Reaves last year.
Shamet has made nice strides and adjusted well to life outside of the Missouri Valley. I stand by my assessment of Reaves too. He’s still not playing big minutes yet, but is a stone cold scorer at heart with good size and a great stroke.
Landry kind of reminds me of Jordan Clarkson, in terms of an NBA role, but Shamet is a better shooter.

Andrew1984ParticipantMiniature Kevin Martin

TheLastWordParticipantJust no. Martin was blazing fast in his youth and averaged 23 points in college, Shamet is at 12 for his career.
Shamet is a slow, methodical player. A poor man’s George Hill isn’t a bad comp.

Andrew1984ParticipantUmm I’m pretty sure Shamet could put 24 on Samford and Wofford
