R-Dot-13ParticipantWho does everyone think the most underrated player in the league is?
In my opinion, it has to be Kevin Martin.
He has proven to be a 20 + point scorer every year, and despite his injuries he can explode for 50 at anytime. Although he has great numbers, he still is never in the discussion for all-star appearances and is rarely even mentioned because he plays on such a bad team. Hopefully he gets the concideration he deserves.Whats everyone elses opinion?

Knicksboy34ParticipantRudy Fernandez

d-grizzlyParticipanthe’s not underrated due to the fact that he’s one dimensional and does nothing else but score. the kid can score alright!
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 12:48pm #185417

HaleParticipantAndre Iguadala is pretty underrated, John Salmons, Al Jefferson is the most though.

TH38L4CKM4M84Or john salmons
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 12:50pm #185422

R-Dot-13ParticipantYeah but when the guy can score as well as he can, he should be given more recognition, he proves he can be a top 10 scorer every year.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 12:51pm #185424

dwat4444ParticipantTravis Outlaw but thats just my opinion. I just don’t see why Portland wants him out of there. Salmons and the Jeffersons are underrated as wel.

RickyRubio9ParticipantThe New A.I in Philly, and Big Al. I’m sure there are plenty more, Big Al has really become an unstoppable force downlow and Iggy in my mind is sort of like LeBron. His shot isn’t the best, but he is a playmaker and can rebound the ball good. He does a little of everything and he is the Leader of that team. also
Luis Scola of the Houston Rockets. If you ever watch a Rockets Game, keep an eye on him. His footwork and moves are amazing.

Just a small sample of what us Rockets Fans got to see night in and night out and in my mind, He was our MVP. Dude comes out and competes against anyone in the league. He isn’t afraid to go out on the block on pick-and-roll and sometimes picks some pockets. He can knock down a jumper as well and I know his defense isn’t the best, but it’s solid. He’ll have to improve with no Yao to back him up though.0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 12:53pm #185426

thetruthParticipantas well. the kid is a beast man. i think he is a all-star in my boo.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 12:55pm #185428

JNixonParticipantI think its Caron Butler without a doubt
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 12:59pm #185436

R-Dot-13ParticipantYes, Caron Butler and Andre Iguodala are also very underrated.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 1:16pm #185460
Cosgrove03Participantboth big men are great and under rated.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 1:26pm #185469
FutureoftheGameBosh was an All-Star. How is that being underrated?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 1:33pm #185472

CameronCrazieParticipantIggy
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 1:35pm #185474
FutureoftheGameHow about Troy Murpy?? Didnt he average like 19 points and 11 rebounds a game or somethin??
0- Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 1:38pm #185475
kong47272ParticipantMurphy had a great year last year, but the reason no one talks about him is his poor defense and horrible contract

- Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 1:39pm #185477

d-grizzlyParticipantbigs like marc gasol, spencer hawes. these big men are young…and ya hawes was a 2nd year player and gasol was a rookie..but they seem to be underrated.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 2:03pm #185487

dwat4444ParticipantDoesn’t creating a post where many people say the same player is underrated kind of sort of possibly in a way if you look at it right defeat the purpose of him being underrated therefore he is kind of sort of possibly in a way if you look at it right not underrated anymore?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 2:05pm #185489

jdubsram-13ParticipantGerald Wallace- not the greatest shooter but can score and slash to the basket. Also, a very good defender, maybe the best part of his game.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 2:09pm #185491
Michael.S.ParticipantIMO Leandro Barbosa or Manu Ginobili
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 2:10pm #185492
FutureoftheGameI agree with Barbosa but people rave over Manu. The always talk about how he is possibly as important to that team as Duncan or Parker. He is number 2 or 3 in the Spurs “Big Three.”
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 2:13pm #185495
Michael.S.ParticipantOK maybe, but the man plays on the bench for the good of the team and he is under-the-radar IMO
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 2:15pm #185497
joecheck88Participantmarcus camby, he hits midrange shots, blocks shots, and rebound so well. without injuries could have won many DPOY

joeParticipanti think deron williams is very underatted because hasn’t being 2 an all star game

- Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 2:20pm #185505

R-Dot-13Participanti wouldnt say D-Will is underrated because there are many people that think he is the best pg in the league.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 2:27pm #185513

llperezLuis Scola and Aaron Brooks from Houston- These two played great when Yao went down in the playoffs and Artest’s shot went AWOL. They should step up and become leaders for the Rockets this year.
Rudy Fernandez- If I were the Blazers, I would be figuring out a way to clear some more minutes for this guy instead of signing more players.
Matt Barnes- He get’s no love despite being a solid contributor for the last 3 seasons. Hits 3’s and plays solid D.
Kelanna Azubuike-Caught in the shuffle of a loaded perimeter group in GState, but he can put up numbers hwen given the chance.
Mike Dunleavy-Dude was injured last year, but when he was healthy, he fills the stats and can shoot lights out. People rarely mention him.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 2:34pm #185519

llperezChris Bosh-He is an all-star by all means, but I don’t think he is franchise player. He can’t lead a team and he can be contained pretty easily by the elite deensive teams.
Andersen Verajao-Why the Cavs treat this guy like he is some must have player is beyond me. His only offense is a layup off someone else’s pass. And he was useless against Orlando in the playoffs last year. Guys like him can be picked up in the bargain bin for 2-4 mill easily.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 2:36pm #185521
Michael.S.Participanti think hustle players like Andy should atleast be able to his a 10-15 foot jumper and he cant so i agree
i also think Bargnani is underrated

Knicksboy34ParticipantOverrated!
Hedo Turkolgu

R-Dot-13ParticipantAs a raptors fan,
I think that Chris Bosh is OVERRATED
He is an all-star, but he is not a superstar, he settles for his jumpshot over 50% of the time, is easily defended by good defense, and is definetly not a franchise player, a good player, but i think he needs to be traded IMO.0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 3:19pm #185544

llperezThat’s exactly how I feel about him. When I watch my Lakers play the raps, I never think “man that Bosh is just killin us, what can we do?” He puts up sood numbers, but they are more spectacular then what his impact on the game really is. If I’m the raps, I would have a hard time throwing a max contract at him that would pay around 18 mill a year.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 3:25pm #185550

R-Dot-13ParticipantExactly, he doesnt have as big of an impact on the game as people think he does, dont get me wrong, hes a good player, but not superstar material.
Im my opinion, the raptors made a mistake when they traded TJ Ford
Its been downhill since..0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/20/2009 - 3:34pm #185562
ZKParticipantAndre Miller. He has been the most underrated player in the league for the last ten years. This post just proves that even more.
