NJnetskiddParticipantIs it just me or does Johnny Flynn’s game resemble a young Allen Iverson. Flynn is a dynamo off of the pick and roll… consistantly getting to the cup with ease and scoring with an array of finishes around the rim. Like AI he is great at drawing contact and has the body control to force 3 point plays. I think his most valuable asset the the T-wolves will be getting to the charity stripe and forcing opposing bigs to rack up fouls… opening up the floor for Big Al and Love to be more aggressive in the paint. Also, like Iverson Flynn seems to build confidence from driving the ball and then gradually starts to heat up his jumper. TO’s will be a problem because he does tend to dominate the ball, but I believe he is a more willing passer then Iverson. On defense he is aggressive and attacks which is promising considering he rarely played man coverage in Cuse’s 2-3 zone scheme. Once he gets his feet under him I think he will be more willing to gamble and gather more steals esp picking off passes off the ball ala Iverson.

JNixonParticipantI think he will be a good pick pocketer in the NBA, he has quick hands and he gambles alot so I see that happening. He just will be average to below average on the ball. He reminds me of Chris Paul more than anything, they have similar size, strength and athletic ability. Most people dont realize Chris Paul has a 37 or 39 inch vertical, one of the two. Jonny Flynn has always been a favorite of mine and I think he will be the 2nd best PG in this class behind Jennings when its said and done.

auberParticipantJohnny Flynn is no Chris Paul. I’m so sick and tired of that comparison.

BasketballGuru24ParticipantJohnny Flynn….Reminds me of chris paul , they both are very athletic, simialiar size, and are leaders. they both even lack the same weakness which is shooting…….both aren’t great shooters

MagikKnickParticipantHes like a poor mans mixture of CP3 and AI
Has qualities of both, but the qualities arent up to par with them..yet

JNixonParticipantYea definitely. Not on their level, but who knows. He has the heart and talent to reach that level in some way or another.

goodsontheParticipantFlynn is a flat out beast, might just be the next Chris Paul. He’s not what Chris Paul is now obviously but it’s coming. Steph Curry is the biggest bust of the draft, wait no…. Thabeet is, then Curry.

D HampParticipantI said during the first week of basketball the Syraucse had the best back court in the nation and that Flynn was the top point guard. None of you all even paid attention to Flynn until March Madness. Wow. How fast people jump on the bang wagon.

Meditated StatesParticipantI been a strong supporter. I have been saying I do not believe Rubio would beat him out for that job, or would like to even try. Flynn is going to get Love and Jefferson a lot of easy baskets when people help off when he is in the lane. If Jefferson comes back healthy 24-25 a game will be simple for him considering he was averaging like 22 with no point to speak of.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantHe just always has reminded me of Nate Robinson. Maybe its because he is small with some great hops. Maybe not. They both love to get to the rim, both are built like tanks, both gamble alot when they play, they shoot the hole well and could be great if they wanted to.

D HampParticipantYo, don’t ever compare Flynn to the weak Nate Robinson. He isn’t in Flynn’s league. Flynn is a playmaker, something Nate will ever be. You’ll never hear about Flynn possibly going to play ball in Europe. Flynn is a starter from day one. He doesn’t have to work his way up to it.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantWait. If that were so, wouldnt Flynn have been the 2nd pick in the draft? Instead, he wasnt even the second PG taken in the draft. Dont get me wrong, i think he is going to be great but saying he is some sort of superstar already is just stupid. Everyone has to work their way up there. Be it in practice, summerleague, or regular season. Dont be an idot.

Knicksboy34ParticipantJonny Flynn is another Damon Stoudemire

Meditated StatesParticipantNate is not. Yes they both are small and have hops but their games are way different. Nate is deadly from three despite Flynn’s last game he is not known for outside shooting, but Flynn is a much better legit point guard than Robinson. A team will go far with Johnny at point. I don’t see the same with Nate even though I think he is a good player. Not a legit point like Flynn. More of a point guard than Stoudamire.

xbadgerhustlerParticipantLawson-Ellington > Flynn-Devendorf
I’m gonna put on my thinking cap and try and come up with a couple others I’d take over Flynn-Devo, but right off the top, the UNC backcourt is way better.

SDEParticipantFlynn is good but no AI but he does have a better future than CP3.. Wolves drop the ball should of draft B.Jennings,James Johnson,Traded some of thos picks for Austin Daye.Wayne Ellington was there smart pick he just look smooth at what he do he always did ever since 2002. I say austin Daye cause the west have a lot of 3&4s that are tall and can move he would had fit good wit the wolves pistons got a steal
