BallerScriptParticipantPicks I am confused about:
- Robert Williams @6
- Jaren Jackson Jr @7 over Wendell Carter Jr @12
- Trevon Duval down @22
- Hartenstein is 29th?
- Bonga and Preston are second rounders?

jabbar_medvedenkoParticipantI’m ok with Williams at 6, but I don’t really get the other rankings either. However, don’t think we should take these too seriously, a lot of time until the draft. They had Sexton outside the draft altogether the last time around and now all the sudden he’s in the top 5 discussion.
I think everybody will be a lot smarter once we see these guys in college, last couple of drafts the site has really nailed top picks in their final mock drafts.

negguaryParticipantI’ve said this before and I’ll say this again, the owners of this site DO NOT care about the upkeep and development of this site! Accurate content? Ha why bother when the forum posters can dictate and influence our position on the top prospects. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if they were taking the average of most official mock drafts and then using that to create theirs. As long as we continue to visit the sight and make them money they have no need to improve or maintenance the site. Would you? No because you can continue to profit without putting any money in. At the minimum with how long draft.net has been around and how many supporters they have the forum should at least accessible through a mobilbe app. Don’t hold your breath though.

This isn’t true at all.
On another note, why are you guys so sold on Bonga? Have you seen him play? What position…I don’t think he’s an NBA point guard.

BallerScriptParticipantBonga is a SF/PF in my mind and I have seen Giannis and Batum comparisons thrown around about him. I don’t quite agree with them but he is a ball handling forward. He has great measurements and has a nack for moving the ball around and dribbling. His jumpshot is still a worry but he finds other ways to score with his length. I don’t believe he has great scoring potential but he has all the tools to become a quality role player or ball handling mismatch off the bench.

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantYeah Sexton at 5 is laughable .. That’s why Kobi Simmons should of stayed.. 2018 drafts lacks point guards

Evan_MilbergParticipantMaybe I’m behind, but what indication has Hartenstein given that he’s not declaring this year? I know he hasn’t had the greatest of seasons, but I was still under the impression his stock was still in the 17-25 range. No news reports seem to indicate he’s staying, and almost every mock site I’ve seen has him in their 2017 mock. I think on potential alone he’s got to declare.

Anton123ParticipantThe site had Hartenstein late-lottery/mid first all year though he didn’t play for his team, now Hartenstein measures at a legit 7’1” 250 and slides down 13 picks in a draft a year ago. Mikhailuk had 5 good games and became first round in 2017, then had 10 bad ones and now he’s late-second in 2018. He’s still the same guy. I know mock drafts are partly a guessing game, but not this much of a guessing game. Isaac Bonga in the second round is funny too.

usfballerParticipantWith the All Star game(s) circuit finally wrapping up, I believe this site is weighing heavily their performances in those games. Both Carter and Duval struggled (compared to their rankings/expectations) while both Jackson Jr and Sexton out played their rankings/expectations.
It looked to me like Wendall Carter is going to have a much steeper learning curve than expected. While he may eventually be one of the top 5 guys in this class, I highly doubt he will be next year as a FR in the ACC. Meanwhile Jaren Jackson Jr looks like he has the skill and IQ to jump right in at MSU and play major minutes for a coach who prefers his upperclassmen. Jackson also looks like he’s been living in the weight room for the past 8 months. Last year at Dick’s National Tournament and over the summer, JJ looked like he was gonna give KD and Shaun Livingston a run for skinniest players in the draft. Now he loooks more like KG in that he’s still skinny, but looks like he can actually hold his own without breaking.
Duval looked very disinterested to me at the McD’s game while Collin Sexton went out there looking to out on a show. So naturally Sexton would come across as more exciting, but having seen Duval a few time last year and over the summer, I have no doubt that by the time we really start examining next year’s class Duval will be back ahead of Sexton.

HitsterParticipantInteresting to see Mohamed Bamba ahead of the more developed Ayton. I haven’t seem a lot of him but I’d guess that his length and wingspan are his major selling points.

docioloParticipantMy problem with the mock is the player comparisions. Bam nba comparison is not a Morris twin lol.
