So apparently Stephenson is back in Indiana on a 3 year deal. Now I love Lance and this is a different Indiana team to the one he left so I don’t know how he fits in. I’d say we have seen the last of Stuckey as his contract is basically up. (If Pacers terminate before season end his player option is void and Indiana doesn’t need to pay it, same with CJ).

Now what I do like is Lance, in the words of PG can play "pissed off" with some fire and urgency. Honestly I wouldn’t hate Indiana getting rid of a guy like Niang or Young then pulling Hansbrough from Mad Ants to get some straight up competitors on the roster.

I am pissed the wolves didn’t offer this contract. I thought he was a perfect fit with his defense. Also relatively low risk at 4 mil a year. Huge upside if he finds the ‘old Lance.’

I personally feel like that any team could benefit from signing Stephenson. I love his game. You cant teach intensity. Emotion is infectious and can elevate other players games. It can be a teams downfall as well but if your not gonna beat a team with talent you can always defeat talent with desire. I would always role the dice with Stephenson. Hes like a less polished more intense Tyreke Evans.

Good to see Lance back "home" bet he regrets turning down $44 million over 5 years when he did. But he is a nice back up for the Pacers and gives them extra depth and options in their rotation.

Three years.. why?? I get that it’s a team friendly deal compared to other contracts but seems out of nowhere that he’d get that long of a deal as unproven he’s been since leaving Indy

Lance and PG were going to be the next dynamic wing duo – I hope they can rediscover some of that old magic together!
