after i seen this kid play in summer league and last season as well. im convince he could replace rashard lewis down in the future. hes a good shooter who can spread the floor, plus i think hes more physical than shard is. trust me he is. i think anderson could start at the 4 but the only knock on him is. playing against the likes of sheed, kg, duncan types. so i rather see him come off the bench behind bass and play the 4 and the 3 sometimes. but like i said earlier i think anderson can replace shard in the future.

will be 30. but listen dude. i from orlando as you know by now. i watch every magic game(local) and i dont care what you say or what anyone else say. this is a fact and i know it. shard is not all that. he can shoot and thats it. he cant pass , dribble, grab a rebound, like for real shard is not hard to replace. i think anderson whos only 21 can take his spot with ease. and see shard cant even play the 3 well. cause he cant dribble well, or pass. and shard has no left hand at all. so i know what im talking about.

Rashard is not old and Anderson will not replace him but he can play the 4 next to him. He came in out of high school remember. he may be like 27 or 28

Lewis is a solid number 2 option and a consistent one as well I dnt think anderson is that I think he is a good number 3 option @ best, also not to mention rashard is a clutch performer

for the past two seasons hes been here. he hasnt played like a a number 1 or 2 option. more like a 3 or 4. and hes not consistent. theirs games where he shoots bad from the 3. and did i mention he cant play a lick of defense.

is a very solid player. But all you dudes talkin about how he will replace Rashard are dumb. Rashard is 29 and has a longterm contract. What on earth makes you think he needs to be replaced at this point in his career?

Haha thetruth87- Ryan Anderson could develop into a starter but I wouldn’t want him starting over Lewis right now. I see your frustration though for sure because Lewis is the 4th option on that team now behind Howard, Carter, & Nelson IMO. Also Lewis is overpaid & his contract is pretty terrible. If the Magic could trade him & get some cap relief & a good player in return then I actually agree that would be a good idea. Ryan Anderson would get abused in the playoffs starting at PF. By the way theturth87- I don’t know how much you know about Brandon Bass but..Bass is better than Ryan Anderson right now. Lewis may improve this year if he slides over to SF & Bass starts at PF.

Who would you trade Lewis for if you don’t like him that much? IMO he is a good player and he fits well with the Magic. Orlando is all about spacing and Lewis can knock down the 3 when he gets the kick out from Howard. He does take it inside too but you’re right not as much as he could. He doesn’t have the body to bang in the post with the other bigs. But really, which team would you trade Lewis too? I’m interested.

Magic get: Wilson Chandler, Larry Hughes (expiring contract), Jared Jeffries
    Knicks get: Rashard Lews

This frees up a lot of cap room for the Magic after this season.

Magic get: Corey Brewer, Songalia, Cardinal (expiring contract, Ryan Gomes
    TWolves get: Rashard Lews

Once again this saves the Magic money after the season.

Magic get: Antonio Daniels (expiring contract), Julian Wright, Peja Stojakavic
    Hornets get: Lewis

Magic get: Kenny Thomas (expiring contract), Nocioni, Jason Thompson
    Kings get: Lewis

    Magic get: Outlaw, Webster, Fernandez
    Blazers get: Lewis
Portland has the cap space to take in the extra salary

    Just throwing out some ideas.
Trading a contract that Lewis has is difficult.

The Magic wont trade Lewis. They have no need to and he will the 3rd option, Jameer Nelson isnt nearly the offensive player Lewis is. He’s a spot up shooter and occasional slasher if the other options arent open. Nelson had one good year, and everyone thinks he is just some great offensive weapon. He didnt even play 30 minutes a game before last year! But Lewis is overpaid, but he isnt on the trade block and wont ever be until he shows true signs of slowing down, and that wont happen all that soon. He is a shooter, its not like his body will wear down because he’s banging with big men. He doesnt draw that much contact so its not like his body will wear down fast. Ryan Anderson is no starter, and Van Gundy definitely wouldnt play him over Rashard Lewis, yall are trippin

this orlando fan is a fool… Shard isnt good, and should be released, (WHAT A JOKE).. Im a huge sixers fan, did u miss that series?????Hes arguably the most versatile player on the magic, and 100 % is now that Turk is gone… Hes the smoothest shooter you have, hes got a beatiful turn around jumper from the post, and is 6’10″….You want him to be a ball handler too??? You looking for him to turn into a point forward.. hes got a role, and plays it very well… The reason your tm is surrounded with shooters si because you have Dwight.. He needs proper spacing in order to get the offense rolling… HENCE THE SHOOTERS BUILT AROUND HIM.. YOu think Ryan Anderson has the lateral quickness and ability to move the way Shard does?? Give me a break, you might need to pay more attn this yr.. If you think Anderson is as good your in for a rude awakening… orlando will still be in mix, but Vince will bring them down.. He plays no defense, his skills are declining, and he will cry in a week when he realizes its NOT Vinces tm and hes the 3rd option…
