I will say this everytime the Knick hold for money for talent they generally get players because people want to be in New York. Stephen Curry was visibly upset that he got drafted a pick before New York picked. Players want to go there but they have not had money. They are also better than last year’s team which one 32 games. I see them winning 38 but then again they may not be enough this year but in the East maybe it will. 38 wins with this group means that when they add some stars they should be a playoff team. Last time they signed some players and made some nice trades and pick ups they went to the Finals when Ewing was hurt most of the year. That is why the Knicks are reloading because they only sucked that long because they had no money and kept making stupid trades and pick ups. They may have drafted well but they traded a lot of what they drafted. They have some talent on this team and they run a great system for the East. That system Mike D runs should give them a least an extra 10 wins then their talent would get alone. I am not a Knick fan but I have a friend who is and we talk about the Knicks a lot. We both are hoping they can get Sessions or Miller.

Dhamp you of all people should know how much one move or getting the right player can help a young talented team. Galinari will be like a Bargina type player and for the pick Knicks made that is not bad. Also European players tend to stay in the same spot for a while with the exception of Hedo. Blame his wife.

Don’t get it twisted. Houston beat LA almost as many times as every other team in the playoffs combined with the least amount of talent by far. And Denver blew Game 1 against the Lakers. Completely. But look on the bright side. Dahntay isn’t there to f*ck up that inbounds pass anymore.

LOL… too funny… Name the last two players that came together, SIGNED (not traded) to a team on Max deals? Please name them… Because it just don’t happen… Knick fans needs to understand this BEFORE 2010 wraps up and they are licking their chops about “WHO” they are going to get…

I was talking to you Sheltwon but I wasn’t putting you down or anything. Denver got better with Billups I agree. All I was saying was LA lost 7 games in the playoffs and Houston beat them 3 times with literally nobody. I was just questioning the statement that Denver gave LA a run for their money. If they won Game 1 I think they could have but they kind of folded that last game and went out pretty quietly.

Denver did give LA a run for their money. I never said that Denver played them the toughest. The comment was not even meant to bring up debate on who played the Lakers the toughest. It was to show DHamp that added one player can turn a team from bottom to the top and the Knick should be close to the playoffs this year which means one star player could change that and people want to go to New York.
There was nothing I got twisted homie. Please read what I am writing and not change the context of it.

Now, one player can make a big difference, hence Rahseed Wallace being traded to Detroit. But how many passes should the Knicks get. They still haven’t landed the one man. Maurice Taylor, Francis, Jalen Rose, McDyess, heck they gave JEROME JAMES $40 MIL. HA HA HA

As for you Knicks2020, the Lakers will 3 peat. Write it down.

If Lakers get Odom back it is possibly for them to 3 peat, the team that would give them the most trouble are pretty old and have less of a window. Boston and San Antonio are their biggest threat to me right now. Orlando got better if some ways but the Lakers will not play them as poorly as they did the year before. The only team that Lakers ever had issues with year after year was San Antonio and several time they beat them handily. Also Orlando has to get past Boston and Cleveland and Cleveland has grudge match. If Orlando see Cleveland they will lose this year. It always happens except for Washington when a team has a grugde match the team that lost the year before will get the better of the other team the following year. There may be more time where this didnt happen but these are the more recent ones i can remember.

Im tellin you this kid has star written all over him as long as he can stay healthy. The thing that might hold him back is if he becomes injury prone but im hoping thats not the case.

Right but those were Layden/Isiah moves since when is Walsh making moves like this he didn’t want Galinari that was D’antoni and his love for Euro’s. Thankfully they didn’t draft another one this year.

If Lakers get Odom back, I just find it hard for anyone to stop them when Bynum can only get better and Lakers won with him not doing much. I doubt he will get hurt a third straight. Also Shannon Brown is another stuff physical defender. The Lakers have gotten better and tougher. Also Kobe may not have been as well rested as he tells people with everything he did with the Olympics and all. This year he got to rest. It will be hard for any team to beat them let alone do it for 7 games. I will do this if they stay healthy there is no way the dont get a 3peat. There is no other team on their talent level right now when you factor age offense and defense.

…the Knicks will get somebody. For one they have the money, but again pretty much all the teams have money since their owners are billionaires so strike that point. Say what you want about Dolan, but at least he’s not tight and stingy, he just needs to put some better people in charge and not be so eager to hand out his money. You have to love his “get me this guy at all costs” approach. The big basketball cities will never have trouble bringing in guys. Even if they don’t get Lebron, they’ll land someone, just hopefully they don’t overpay. Playing in the Garden is a big deal. For whoever said, the Knicks only had Patrick Ewing, that is a big slight to the history there. There is a lot more to the Knicks history than one man and they have had some great players over the years. I guarantee if it wasn’t for Michael Jordan, they would have been the prime beneficiaries of a few of those Bulls championships.

Everyone needs to relax and understand that every team goes through down times. Make your occasional joke, but if we really want to we can find something to knock about every team in the league.

Dhamp honestly, the Knicks have a better shot at winning the championship then the Nuggets in the near future the Nuggets will be lucky to be the fourth seed in the west this year ill take the lakers, spurs, mavs over them, and its going to be a battle for them the nuggets are a nice team but they havent improved since Billups, sure he will have been there for that extra year but they havent improved much and if they make it to the Western Finals i will be surprised. billups is getting up there in age and wont play forever. anthony will and should leave when he is a FA, and the Knicks are likely to cash in on the FA class of 2010. Seriously, who doesnt want to play in the greatest city in the world?

What about the PG matchup though. Parker has a big edge over Fisher. Jefferson & Artest are pretty even in my eyes. Kobe has an edge over Ginboli but not by as much as people think. Also Duncan will cause Gasol & Bynum trouble. Spurs have quality players on the bench too. Finley is experienced, Mason makes clutch shots, Bonner is a smart player, Blair is a great rebounder, George Hill is really underrated. Hill is a great backup to Parker IMO. Hill is much better than Farmar or Brown. Overall I think the Spurs have a slight edge.

they are a horrible franchise. Scott Layden was the worst gm i had ever seen. He paid franchise money to guy’s like Howard Eisley, Shandon Andersen, and Keith Van Horn all because they were from his hometown of Utah, and the owner did nothing about it.

Then the knicks hired Isiah Thomas who did his best job of beating Layden as the worst gm ever. And he was succesful. He gave All-star money to Jerome james, Eddy Curry, Stephon Marbury, and a whole bunch of average players like Steve Francis. Isiah was garbage.

The knicks are a joke and only NY fans are dumb ebough to not realize it.

I mean, have any of you ever been to Miami? But NY is where its at? Word?

Its gon hurt when yall suck this year, get the #1 pick, and that pick isnt even yours. It goes to Utah.

knicks stock is rising, kings stock same as last year, nuggets stock same as last year. its not hard to see that knicks get 2 quality players in the draft and are losing most of their bad contracts. kings will have best chance at lottery again. denver loses dahntay jones but gets lawson so it amounts to a similar record. the key this year is phoenix, loses slow big man, young players have more experience, amare is back, and they added earl clark. look for 55 wins and a top 3 seed.

How is the Kings stock the same as last year? They’ve added Tryeke Evans, Kevin Martin is healthy(people forget he missed the first 2 months of the season), JT has a year under his belt, and Hawes now has some starting experience(post all-star break he averaged 13.8ppg, 8.5 rbg, 2.5 apg).. They should improve on their 17 wins to an almost kind of maybe respectable 25!

The Knicks right now don’t have Nate or Lee.. If they lose those 2 then at best their stock is the same, but realistically it is somewhat lower and they could end up with about 25 wins! (If they re-sign both then I’d go with about 35-38.. If they re-sign one then probably about 30-32 same as last yr)

The Kings still have no real leadership and no real playmaker.

25 wins is a good estimate.

the kings stock is the same because all they added to the worst team in the league is a 20 year old combo guard who is nowhere ready to lead a team. ex. memphis adds oj mayo(better than evans) AND marc gasol and still are top 5 lotto team. sorry spencerhawes you wont win more than 22 games and ya thats is a 5 game improvement but does it matter when you finish 30 or more games out of first place? no. the knicks are being smart about their money. why overpay for a 5’8″ SG and a 6’9″ PF who cant shoot and is a product of a system.

you start off by basically saying unless your a playoff team or very close to it, your stock is the same.. then go on to say how the knicks who aren’t a playoff team stock rises even though they lost more than they gained

Kings- Add Tyreke Evans, who has done nothing but impress in the summer league and cant possibly be worst than beno.. their stock is the same

Knciks-Lose double-double machine David Lee and Nate Robinson, add Jordan Hill… Their stock rises.

Your reason? Knicks are being smart with their money… And somehow the Kings aren’t??

the kings are going from garbage to garbage. they have beno udrih on the books for like 4 or 5 more years. they have kenny thomas, terrible contract. they draft poorly, soft bigmen with no athleticism. they just cant get any worse and they definately arent better. the knicks find ways to get rid of bad contracts, have a solid plan, and draft very well for the most part. i dont like jordan hill but atleast he can move quickly and if they lose lee i see hill as a top 3 ROY candidate putting up similar numbers as lee did. chicago didnt want their 6’2″ SG in ben gordan, why would the knicks want to overpay for a smaller less talented version. and as long as they dont overpay for a guy like ramon sessions, who would be an upgrade over nate, i would say their stock is rising. and i hope the kings the best but its obvious they are miles away from contending while the knicks are a improving team that with their plan and some luck could be a force in 2 years.
