SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantApparently Cousins is set to sign an extension to stay in Sac worth 270 million. Last night after the game he asks a reporter if he wants him to stay in Sac and the reporter replies "me personally no" hahahahaha wow.

Andv1 WaitingParticipantI can’t remember where I heard it may have been the espn jump vid about contract deal, it but they hit it on the head:
He is extremely talented but needs both him and Management to get on the same page…
Sort of like what Houston has done this year with Harden. Gone all in with a coach that suits him. Gotten players and a coach that suit his play style and it results in a winning environment/positive locker room.
If they do that they may be back to the playoffs..

IlladelphParticipantThe problem that Suckramento has is not Boogie, it’s the owner. Vivek Ranadive is way too involved in the day-to-day operations. He makes draft decisions, over-rules his GM publicly whenever he feels like it, and makes decisions from his cubicle in the sky that are not good for his team. If he were a great owner, he would put an all-star team management in place and get out of the way. But because he is such a meddler, and has proven that he will not back up his coach (Karl for example), or his GM publicly no one who is any good is going to want to go work for him.
Suckramento needs new ownership, and/or a complete blow-up and rebuild but not just with new players, but with new values and new culture. Compare this team to the Lakers. The Lakers have unreal owners, and the best culture and values, and they are always perceived well even when they suck. If you look at the post-Kobe Lakers, they still have the glow and the love from the players and their fans because they have an incredible owner family who has instilled a winning family culture over decades.
Suckramento will need decades of reform, but in the mean time the team is too scared to lose Boogie so Boogie is going to get paid. Good for Boogie, I love him. But nothing is going to change in Sucktown with RanaBoogie incorporated. Get ready for another couple of decades of suck…

HitsterParticipantDMC is a potential FA in 2018 and unless the cap rises hugely I don’t see how his contract can be over $40 million a year across the 5 years. I’m sure that figures for a 10 year veteran aren’t that high.

MatosParticipantIts ridiculous to me that Sac hasn’t surrounded him with all-star talent in the 7 years he’s been there. And they’ve drafted so terribly in that time that I’m not sure of their plan.
