EspressoParticipantSo many memories trying to get clips and full games of Lehigh which was quite the pain in ass. I watch him play now and it feel exactly like watching him play in college.
Addition by substraction, when Lillard was out, CJ finally got to play full games as the star of the team, and he balled out. I think that experience will help him so much going forward, he looks more assertive even with Lillard back in the lineup.
I told all of my friends that this guy would be good before his first year, and nobody knew who he was, it feels oh so good!

RedRiddlerParticipantI also believed in him and couldn’t believe he was getting DNP CDs his 2nd year behind Steve Blake!
I think he is gonna keep attacking even with Dame, before he would just play off the ball with Dame and attack in the 2nd unit. However it is better now cause Lillard is taking too many 3s off the dribble and CJ can find him for some higher percentage 3s off stand still.
McCollum is one of the best (Top3-4) in shots off the dribble(not drives) in the NBA in back to back seasons!

KHAM83ParticipantI haven’t seen too many Blazers games, but can they win with a Lilliard/McCullum backcourt?

BeastMode716ParticipantNot only do the stats back this up but so does the eye test.
CJ McCollum is the more efficient player in shooting % & CJ is not a gun, he really moves the ball & involves all his teammates. He’s unselfish & teammates rally around players like that. Unselfish play inspires loyalty & grows into Leadership.
CJ is also bigger at 6’5” & b/c of that McCollum is the much more reliable player at the Defensive end. They are listed at 6’4” & 6’3” but Lillard loos a good 2 or 3 inches shorter than McCollum.
Lillard is a Dynamic scorer no doubt but he is a defensive liability & I really believe he shoots way too much & when a team features a star player who only looks to shoot the ball stops moving & guys begin to stand around on Offense b/c they know they won’t see the ball. And when players begin to stand around at the Offensive end ultimately they start to stand around at the Defensive end & this affects your whole team like an infection.
