     Am I missing something on this kid? Possibly the best player in the Big 10 right now and he is currently not on any mocks on this site?  DE has him as a 2nd rounder in 2018.  I have seen limited Purdue games this year so any insight would be great

     He came in freshman year wanting to be a one and done, but showed up and stayed chubby. This year he looks in much better shape. I still don’t know how tough he is (and toughness is supposed to be one of his strengths). Haas is doing all of the heavy lifting for Purdue and Swanigan swoops in to grab uncontested rebounds. 

    It’s not that he isn’t playing well, it’s just there are more PF out there that I think fit the NBA style better. He has the same strengths and weaknesses of Okafor but at the PF position and everyone seems down on Oak already.

    PFs I’d rather take: Giles, Markenseen, Leaf, Isaac, Hartenstein, Rabb, Byrant, Kingsley, Bradley, Lydon

    SF for small ball 4 I’d rather take: Tatum, Blossomgame, Anunoby, Bridges

    Cs I’d rather take: Bam, Bolden

    The decreasing value of players with his style is hurting him. Monroe, Kanter, Jah, etc. Won’t be able to use him more than 20mpg because of the slow feet defensively and ball stopping low post scoring on offense is no longer "in style" He’ll still probably get picked late first/early second.

      Did I miss something? I’m sure Caleb prays every day that he has a career similar to Monroe, Kanter and Jahs. You don’t have to be the best player at your position to have a successful career or be an impact player. I think Swanigan is a great NBA prospect and I expect the Raptors to scout him very hard this year as he could be available in the late 1st round.

      Put Swanigan on a tram with a stretch 5 like the Knicks, Kings, Wolves, or Grizzlies (plays like Randolph) and have him wreak havoc on the glass and for extra possessions and might just have a nice addition to your rotation for a full rookie contract with BIRD rights. Of course he lacks the defensive versatility to play 35-mpg at this point but if you can get 15-mpg of energy and efficiency that’s hard to find nowadays.

    Yeh with his size he would have to move like Draymond Green or shoot like K Love
