Stanford hoopsParticipantBefore jeremy Tyler decided to go to Europe he was placed as the number 1 pick for the 2011 draft. Since he announced he. Was going to Europe instead of finishing hs he’s been dropped in every mock draft. My question is why. Same thing happened to Jennings when he decided to go to Europe it makes no sense considering they will be more prepared for the NBA since the competition is much better then hs and college and u get unlimited time to work on you’re game as well as learn the fundamentals and euro game which they can add to the American game that they already have

Meditated StatesParticipantGot better playing over there for sure. He learned how to play both styles. He can push it and be flashy or run the offense with patience. He had 14 points 9 asst, 6 boards and 3 steals today. 4 turnovers in 34 or 36 minutes, not bad. I think some teams are going to regret looking at him as less talented for going to Europe. He dropped lower than he should have.

JNixonParticipantI kept saying if he wouldve slipped the teams in the middle of the 1st round wouldve been super duper happy. Luckily he got scooped at 10, which is still low for him but better than most thought. ESPN had him going to Philly at 17.

kaceyParticipantI think Brandon Jennings’ play this year will affect Tyler’s positioning on mock drafts. I agree though, going overseas is helping these guys mature quicker due to them facing situations they won’t face at the college level.
Plus, who would take a 2011 mock draft serious at this point? It’s two years away and alot will happen between those two years. I wouldn’t even take a 2010 mock draft serious at this point.

JNixonParticipantI dont get the point of a mock draft for 2 years away even existing. Who invented that?

Stanford hoopsParticipantExactly. Same with the 2010 before some if the so called sure things play against real competition

sheltwon3ParticipantIt is all about hype and with dude going overseas he has lot hype points unless Jenning turns into Chris Paul or something than people will be on Tyler’s jock. Jennings play is probably hurting Session chances of having any long term commitment from the Bucks. he may take the one year qualifier because Jenning is making him not as needed as before.

kaceyParticipantI hope Sessions goes somewhere besides Milwaukee. Like you said Sheltwon, Jennings is playing pretty well, and I think Ridnour would settle with sharing time with Jennings more than Sessions would.
Therefore, Sessions needs to go elsewhere. Also, I recently bought an autographed trading card of Sessions for less than $5 and I’m thinking if he plays well in a bigger market then I could sell it for a gain. Obviously, nothing to retire on. Haha.0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/15/2009 - 9:39pm #182333

Untouchable JParticipantTyler didnt finish HIGH SCHOOL.
I repeat, HIGH SCHOOL!
Thats goin to damn far. I saw the spot on ESPN and these kids talk about ‘working on my game’ as if its a religious dean.
There is a reason why NY playground legends dont make it, or why Juco guys have a hard time. You have to be in the system. Period. There are plenty of top HS players who work McDonalds. These guys are not as exclusive as they think. The phrase ‘out of sight, out of mind’ they need to learn.

dlisgodParticipanttony wroten graduates HS in 2011 which means he won’t be eligible til the 2012 draft plus gilchrist is the guy you wanna see in that class

xbadgerhustlerParticipantDid Jennings fall or not? he did. you can’t fault a mock draft for dropping someone down the list, when they actually end up dropping in the draft. whether or not brandon jennings is better prepared is not the question. he did fall on draft boards and so… that’d make the mock draft accurate.
