airenn34ParticipantLet’s talk about Seventh’s game though early in the season. Really hope he get’s going. He looks tentative out there and kinda struggling to get a feel for the college game. It’s all freshman struggles and also point guard is the hardest position to learn in Roy Williams offense or so they say. I think Seventh needs to let the game come to him and not over think too much. How bout that chase down block on Koenig. That was special. He really can be a major contributor to the team especially if they wanna get back to the final four. I wonder though what his role will be when Jalek comes in next year. Seventh just does not look like a natural point guard.

D7H7NParticipantHe’ll be coming off the bench. He’s a slasher and he’ll bring energy off the bench by running around everywhere making athletic plays. He dribbles out of control and he doesn’t have the ability to control the floor like a PG should. He could improve so who knows but I think he’ll just be Dex Strickland 2.0
UNC’s starting lineup next year will be Jalek, Kenny, Pinson, Maye (I don’t think Knox will commit to UNC), and Bradley. Assuming Berry and Jackson leave. Not great but it’ll be fun to watch.

r377ParticipantHappens all the time on here – High school kid has a cool name, has a couple of nice dunks on his mix tape and the kids on here assume he is a future NBA All Star.
Not all high school sensations do well in college and even fewer of them make it into an NBA All-Star game…..
How’s Perry Jones, Quincy Miller, Wayne Seldon, Shabazz, Mc Adoo, Austin Rivers and Muiday going these days ?

JoeWolf1Wayne Selden will be okay. He’s dropping 19.5 ppg 6.4 rpg 3.1 apg and 1.8 spg in the D-League, with his trade mark ability to put guys on posters in tact. I bet he gets called up sometime this year.
This dunk he threw down the other day is nastier than the one he put on Skal last year in college.

I know what you mean, though. I just was checking up on Mickey Mitchell the other day, and he transferred to UCSB after not getting a lot of burn at OSU last season. He’s likely not going to sniff an NBA court despite massive hype as a 15-16 year old.

TarHeelRavenParticipantI knew Seventh wouldn’t be a major contributor right away. I like how Roy says he doesn’t even call him by his first name because he’s not anywhere close to being the player he recruited. I think he coming off an injury that has limited his explosiveness. These mixtapes he has had of him dribbling through entire teams and throwing down monster dunks are so misleading. They’re hilight tapes playing against guys who are not even D3 players. Seventh was so much more gifted athletically than everyone he played against in high school. I knew his freshman year would be a struggle. The guy needs to work on his half court game, decison-making and shooting. I think he’ll be a major contributor next year after a summer in Chapel Hill working on his game.
