valentineIf I were a savvy veteran with a slightly dirty streak, I’d be licking my lips every time I saw Philly on the schedule.
They have absolutely no intimidation factor, either mentally or physically.
Its not always a big enforcer (it helps), but someone with some grunt in them. These Blue Blood draft picks are coddled and vets know it.
This will result in wear & tear, injuries, frustration, loss of confidence and a toxic locker room.
They need a Nick Collisson, Reggie Evans, KG, Charles Oakley type to keep opposition tactics in check.
Nerlens is out the door in less than a month and these Enforcer Goons usually come cheap and dont need many minutes.
Why not make a trade for Big Banger Baynes in Detroit. Hes got a mug only a mother could love and Philly has trade chips.
Either that, or load up on ice packs for Joel Embiids feet cos 16/17 could be a rough ride for the city of *ahem* ‘brotherly love’.

Robb_CParticipantLol.. This aint the 80s the whole league is soft.. Look at the Exchange between Bron and Draymond Green in the Finals.. That had to be the softest exchange of two 6’8 yoked alpha males ive ever seen..

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantNo they don’t, not in today’s league. Look at the size of their whole roster; they’re easily bigger than most teams roster.

Hype MachineNot always the size of the dog in the fight. Those boys are seals in a shark tank.

negguaryParticipantIf healthy Embid doesn’t seem to be a push over! I think its in his natural make up to be an enforcer at least from what I saw of him at Kansas and on TWITTER(LOL). And yeah the league is also like a flag football league now anyway soooooo….

ashock34ParticipantYes I agree. Embiid does have a nasty streak. I dont want my star player who is coming off two years of injury to be in the middle of a scrap but Joel will snap on you if he thinks your throwing cheap shots. He has two very sharp elbows that when raised are at about the level of your head. Whap! Nose bleed! I need also remind everyone that Daria Saric is a very physical type who loves to mix it up. Coach Brown calls him a bull in a china shope! Once the comradary develops between these young bucks they will have each other’s backs.

ThenilonatorParticipantThat’s a ridiculous statement! And then to say they need a guy sporting a "man-bun" and an undercut to toughen them up….. Just stop

HitsterParticipantThe team may need a locker room leader but they are a young strong team and will learn to handle themselves. Sure the older guys know all the tricks but so do the refs too. Also if an older guy is niggling a younger guy, the chance could be the younger guy tries to torch the older guy up the court.
Plus has anyone seen the size of Embiid, I wouldn’t want to mess with him.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantBoth of them are big and nasty, they won’t have any issues protecting the paint and "enforcing" hard fouls against Ben Simmons and Dario Saric (but 6’10 and far from soft)
Hell even Nerlens who is built very thin can learn to be a little harder from banging with Jahlil and Joel during practices…
I think you fail to use your brain when posting about the 76ers…
They have one of the largest lineups in the NBA, which has become as soft as baby shyt…They’d be best served playing very physical

Mr. 19134ParticipantLol man what we saw what happen last time somebody tried pushing Big Jahs buttons.

JJ_PRParticipantThe last thing Philly needs is a big man. Joel Embiid has the tools to be an enforcer on defense if he can stay healthy and Philly has high hopes for him after tanking in order to select him, only to have him sit out for 2 full seasons.
Honestly, I love their roster makeup. They might look thin at the guard spots but their primary options on offense will be Simmons and Embiid anyway.
I would trade Jahlil before the season starts. They do need a point guard, perhaps ship him to Boston for Marcus Smart.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantWell. Last I heard Kendrick Perkins was still very much available

GronounoursParticipantRidiculous idea. Embiid can beat anyone with his crutches and/or his cast. And that hurts, believe me.

holefillers1ParticipantSaric is your intimidater. All out hustle guy who will see limited minutes early on with six fouls in his pocket.
