markfitz14ParticipantDennis Smith Jr. has rocketed to the #1 pick in the NBA.net mock and #2 at DraftEX. This comes off a strong showing at the Adidas Nations games at the begining of August. Of course the link won’t post. But there are some highlights on youtube.
This guys leaping ability is off the charts! I like his handles and overall agressivness driving to the basket. Looks to be a force on offense. He made some good steals in the highlights too. This is going to be one He** of a draft class.

Big_C_KUParticipantI have Dennis Smith #4 behind Giles, Jackson, and Fultz. I’m a fan.
That said I think Smith and to a certain extent Fultz jump on draft boards are because they’re the only ones in the freshman class who have really been able to show anything this summer. Fultz was terrific in international play and Smith more than held his own against older players. I reserve my judgement to put them at 1-2 until I see how they and others do in actual college games.

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantWell we all know Fultz is going to put up big numbers. Lead guards for Washington have a trend of doing that for the past few years.

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantJust the beginning of Josh Jackson fall to irrelevance

MopgrassParticipantJosh Jackson will be the 1st pick.

For_Never_EverParticipantI think Josh Jackson is overrated. He isn’t the caliber athlete like his comparison T-Mac or Wiggins. He has a weird shooting stroke, and isn’t the defender he is made out to be.

Butter13ParticipantI doubt it. I saw him play in a summer tournament last summer and he didn’t look good at all. Sure, it was just 1 game, but no one with top 3 pick potential should look that lousy.

i’m jus so offendedParticipantI gotta agree with the previous two guys, I think JJ is gonna struggle at spots during the year. I was at the Hoops Summit and he was just ok, while Fultz, Tatum and Fox were fantastic. I also believe, if they show they are fully back from injury, Smith and Giles have higher ceilings. Smith has looked fantastic this summer. Plus look at possible team needs. Boston(with BKN pick) would take Giles or a point guard before JJ. Sixers more likey to take Fultz or Smith in my opinion.

theballerwayParticipantthis season. I like Smith, I think he is in a great position to showcase himself statistically as well as in the win column. Also being around the program for his rehab only helps his comfort level and familiarity. I cant say I love Tatum but I can see what people like, I just hope his shooting translates or there could be problems as I don’t particular rate him as explosive type athlete.
The biggest question mark for me though is Giles. I definitely am petrified of a fairly thin albeit incredibly skilled 610 guy coming off two knee injuries already. Hes athletic and moved well but again not elite . I am so intrigued to see how he perform but he’d have to be so amazing for me to forget about those knees.
Regarding Josh Jackson idk. Sometimes Self does the bring guys along slowly thing but Im not sure this year he can do that (somehow he figures it out) Since they have such strong guards he will be able to be more of a finisher than a playmaker as such so that might help him hide some of his question marks. If the teams does well he only need to put up 16/7 a game 6rbs maybe with some glimpses of defense to look good enough for a top pick consideration just because the potential is so high given his tools.
time will tell
