now that he’s an unrestricted free agent, where does he go?  espn insider reported that the 76ers and nets weren’t pursuing him so that doesn’t leave many other teams with a lot of salary cap that have a need at sg.

Well, the Nets threw 4 years, $70 mil at Crabbe, and obviously didn’t sign him, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see them throw a similar deal at Waiters (even though he deserves no where near that amount).

Nets might change thier mind since all the offers they threw out were matched.

If the Nets won’t pursue him as reported, I see him taking a one-year “prove it” deal somewhere else. The market for him doesn’t seem to be in his favor at the moment, but it only takes one team…

I think he is being black balled. There is also an article about him on theringer.com.  He was the topic among me and my brothers yesterday here in Philly. We know Dion, grew up seeing him grow up. It sucks that our Sixers wont give him a chance because if hes home he might be in trouble. I think the Sixers should give him a chance, but if I had to bet money I would say he goes somewhere on a one year deal to prove himself. Maybe Pacers, Wizards or Heat will sign him. Dont count Nets out

Nets probably makes the most sense, but a dark horse could be the Sacramento Kings.  They are still searching for both a PG(who isn’t in trouble for domestic abuse) and a solid SG

The Heat need scoring punch and currently have a hole at 2 guard, if they can manage it, I think they should sign him to a moderately priced contract.
