sa124mvpParticipantWhere would you take Steven Adams?
Personally, I would take him second behind The Greek Freak. I’ve always been very high on Adams and think his play throughout the playoffs is just a glimpse of the player he could become. I think his attitude, toughness, effort and coachability are second to none which makes him a fit in any team.
He will become an All-Defensive caliber center with an offensive game that will only continue to develop beyond everyones imagination. Let me tell you something having watched Steven play throughout his highschool and semi professional years in New Zealand. The boy can shoot. And at a very high clip.
One thing I think people often forget about Adams as well is that he is only 22. Yet he bangs around down low like a fully grown man. Imagine him in 6 years time? He is going to be an absolute truckload to handle.
First post on here so go easy on me guys!

sweaterflexParticipantSteven Adams is very good, and he would probably go top 5 in a redraft, but center is now one of the deepest positions in the league, and that reduces his value a bit. I’d go:
1. Giannis
2. Rudy
3. Oladipo
4. Adams
5. CJ McCollum
6. Nerlens
7. KCP
8. Otto
9. Dieng
10. Schroeder
and Adams is only above CJ because of age.

CDPHParticipantPeople really sleep on Noel.
Last year Adams averaged 8.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 0.5 steals and 1.1 blocks in 25.2 minutes.
Last year Noel averaged 11.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.5 blocks in 29.3 minutes and this was actually a slight regression for hin due to the horrible team.
Adams played with two top 5 players in basketball, while Noel was thrilled when Ish Smith was reacquired.
Noel is also 2 months younger.
For whatever reason, people don’t seem to notice how much of a game changer Noel is defensively. Nothing against Adams, but I think Noel is clearly the better player and would probably go #4 in a re-draft behind Giannis, Gobert and McCollum.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantThere is absolutely no way I’m taking him over gobert or McCollum at this point. I personally still would probably take oladipo over him right now as well. Adams had a strong finish to the year and excellent postseason, but I would need to see him continue that level of play and expand on it next season before I would feel comfortable taking him above 5th.

high floorParticipantGiannis & Gobert. 3-10 will likely vary a lot between the posters… but i’ll take a crack at it:
1.) Giannis — Walking triple double w/ jaw dropping defensive potential.
2.) Gobert — Love the Stifle Tower. He’ll be one of the main reasons the Jazz are a 5-6 seed this year in the West
3.) McCollum — Could be an efficient 24-25ppg scorer in a year or two, which is pretty remarkable considering he shares the ball with Dame each night…
4.) Adams — Proving to be more dyamic on offense. Elite on defense & still really young. Made Serge Ibaka expendable.. which says a lot about how OKC’s views him for the future.
5.) Nerlens — All Defensive 1st team potential. Super valuable if he develops into 14ppg, 50% shooter
6.) Oladipo — Could be as high as 3 on this list, but doesn’t finish at the rim well enough for how athletic he is, which is compounded even more as a streaky 3pt shooter. This is a huge year for him
7.) KCP — Good 3 & D guy. I think he’ll be in the MIP conversation this year. Slightly more valuable IMO since SG is NBA’s thinnest position…
8.) Schroeder — Another guy that will be in the MIP conversation… needs to improve 3pt shooting to be higher on list.
9.) Porter — Solid starter. Brings good D and versatility on both sides of the ball.
10.) Len — Another starter level player. He won’t anchor a top 5 defense, but has good size & length to be an effective Center. Needs to improve efficiency on offense to be higher.
