ZachAttackParticipantWait… I thought Giannis was a PG?
Good rankings overall. If Brook Lopez could stay healthy I think that he deserves the 9th spot, but that probably won’t happen. Other than that, Great Rankings! You’re a really knowledgable poster.

TRC1991ParticipantKyrie is better than Lillard and Wall, did you fail to watch the NBA finals this year?
0- Posted on: Sat, 07/16/2016 - 12:48pm #1083685
ChicagoCaseyParticipantI don’t base my opinion on just one series. If the Cavs wouldn;t won you probably wouldn’t say he’s better.
I can ask you "did you fail to watch the NBA this year"? Because Dame Lillard averaged 25 and 7 while leading his own team to the second round in the NBA hardest conference. And John Wall averaged 20 and 10 this year. I rank players best on their all around game and how the lead them. If the Cavs wouldn’t make the playoffs this year, that would not change my stance. Just because a player had an impressive series does not change my stance. TThompson is the same player that we saw in the regular season. Just because he had an impressive finals does not mean that he should be ranked over Paul Milsap or Anthony Davis.
I know that this is an unpopular opinion, but this is my opinion. I don’t base everything on "DID YOU SEE THE FINALS", because that would be discrediting players that didn’t go to the finals but faced a much larger work load than Kyrie ever did. If Lillard or Wall would’ve switched with Kyrie, the Cavs would have still won. Kyrie Irving is a great scorer, but he’s a poot defender, poor passer, and so many other things. He had an impressive finals, but I’m not getting blind over it. Wall and Dame Lillard are better a pretty much everything besides handles.

TRC1991ParticipantFunny how Irving can dominate the "best PG in the NBA" oh and in the NBA finals, over the course of 7 games, yet he still isn’t better than a guy who couldn’t even make the playoffs this year (Wall) or a guy who shot 36% against the same "best PG in the NBA" in the previous series

Mr. HookShotParticipantWonder what would happen when you swap Wall or Lillard for Irving. I believe that the Cavs would be even better with Lillard at point, considering he’s the better long-distance shooter in an era in which three-pointers are more important than ever.
Having said that: these three are all reasonably close to each other, with each having different aspects of the game in which they excell. Still, I would say Lillard – Irving – Wall.

IndianaBasketballParticipantAnthony is an isolation player, but I really think he did a very good job switching up his game some this season and making the extra pass.
I’m a big Hayward supporter and think the sky is the limit for Anteteokumpo, but I’m not ready to rank them above Anthony yet.

Mr. HookShotParticipantLooking at your list I have some issues with the C position. Maybe it is just my personal opinion, but I prefer having an all-around center (Gasol, Horford) over one of those athletic shot-blockers (Drummond, Jordan, Whiteside).
Other remarks on top of the comments above:
Lowry and Conley > Thomas
Thomas defense is not good enough to warrant a position over these other two.Beal > Hood
Beal is more of a proven talent in the league, even though he seems injury-prone.0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/18/2016 - 10:20pm #1084110
