WolfRisingParticipantNot all players can switch roles, most have their specialties that need to be utilized by their coaches. I think the criticism gets a little ridiculous. Kevin love is a big one. It’s not his fault the cavs are asking him to play to his weaknesses. They tell him to stand in a corner and catch shoot 3’s. Its hard to be rebounding demon when you’re 20 ft from the hoop. I think he can carry a teams offense, but that’s the last thing the cavs need. Im just amazed at the GMs that dont seem to pay attention to how the pieces fit.

ChewyParticipantso Kevin not fitting perfectly is acceptable, since the arrangement fits Lebron perfectly. He did it to Bosh and now Love. I think it is clear that Lebron would be better off with a lesser talent like Ryan Anderson or Nikola Mirotic. They spread the floor as a primary weapon. Then use the extra money to get a prime shot blocking big.
They would be the best way to build around Lebron. Wiggins could of basically landed you anything you wanted trade wise. They choose the biggest name instead of the biggest fit. So I completely agree, but Gm’s have to hold onto their jobs too and big names give them big wiggle room. If they win, great. If they love, they can say, "Look, I got Love and we still didn’t win. That’s not MY fault. It’s the coaches."

Memphis MadnessParticipantThe Cavs won a title.
Kevin Love rebounded like a beast in the last game or so of that series.
They need to get him involved more.
I like the small ball pairing of TT and Love — Love can shoot and score some, and both guys give you TONS of rebounding. With TT also providing some shot blocking.
They should probably do more LeBron-Love pick and rolls and pick and pops and see what develops.
It seems like they should run some stuff for Love when LeBron and Irving are off the floor. Get him the ball in his spots and get him going.
He can be paired with a better defensive guy inside like Tristan Thompson or the newly acquired Birdman.
I think it is HARD to play with LeBron. LeBron does a lot of things on the court, but where does that leave everyone else? So, what, he gets guys 3 point shots by dribbling the ball around, and inside for the kick out… Tyreke Evans can do that…
Kyrie Irving is a guy who can coexist with LeBron.
Hopefully with a lot of weight of his shoulders, LeBron can get other guys more involved, like Kevin Love, and not just pass the balls to players standing 25 feet from the basket with the shot clock winding down.
