So now the rule for the last two minutes in the fourth quarter will be in effect the entire game. Players also will be called for a flagrant foul for jumping on the backs of other players while on the free-throw line in order to hack them.

Also on inbound situations, any foul committed before the inbounder releases the ball will award the inbounding team with one free-throw and possession of the ball.

    Thoughts?

Don’t like it. Just slows the game down.

How about this– Just learn to shoot free throws instead and then this strategy wouldn’t be used as much.

He’s the dad who doesn’t let his kids drink soda because sugar its bad for you (except I don’t think he has kids because what girl would want to be with him haha). He’s always trying to be so politically correct off the court when he’s the NBA commissioner not POTUS, and on the court he tries to get rid of every semi controversial issue by siding with the complaining side. He’s already whining about KD to the Warriors and KD hasn’t even played a game yet to prove anything. He whines about hack-a-Shaq when the bottom line is, yes sometimes some of those fouls off the ball are bogus, but the on the ball fouls in the post I have no problem with, learn to make at least 65% of your free throws!

I would of liked to see them go much farther and extend the rules to cover the entire game instead of just the last 2 mins of each quarter but I realize there are a lot of teams that wont vote for that because they regularly use it as part of their strategy. I understand the reasoning behind the hack-a strategy but I absolutely hate because it causes unwatchable basketball. The league’s main goal should be to put an entertaining product on the floor and there is nothing entertaining about watching ande drummond continuously brick ft’s possession after possession. At least its a step in the right direction.

I’ve been against changes to the hack a shaq stuff, but I actually like the fouls while a ball is out bounds results in a ft and keeping possession. Far too often guys get away with murder on inbounds plays especially late game situations. Refs will probably still swallow their whistles but now if you want to get all grabby you risk giving up a ft.
