OhCanada-ParticipantI think alot of people are missing out on this guy. He brings alot to the table and will be good. Utah is molding him into a versatile 3 and D big. In his rookie season he compared very well to some of the either 3 and D forwards and combo forwards in the league like Pat Patterson, Jeff Green, Al Farouq Aminu type guys. He turns 21 in November and has a defined role already. He will only improve as time goes on and he gets more opportunity.
Lyle’s will be a very good player. He may never be an all-star but II wouldn’t rule that out and can easily see him develop into an efficient 15-ppg, 7-rpg and 2.5-apg player that spreads the floor and plays good D within the next few years.

r377ParticipantI am not a fan, I don’t think Lyles will develop into a double digit scorer, let alone any easy 15-7 guy…
Favors is at 16-8

r377ParticipantThanks for the negative 18 points from the 18 dreamer kids with no idea.
Trey Lyles, even with Favors injured and struggling this season averaged 6ppg on 34% from the field.
LOL, the kids & amateurs on this site make me laugh….

Jr. ROXASParticipantNba comparison is Marcus Morris. Everything from their skillset and shooting forms are identical. They use their handles a lot to create space, love their one dribble pullups and both have a decent post game. Lyles is a starter in this league but the jazz are comitted to gobert and favors.

For_Never_EverParticipantI agree with both guys above me, and can’t say anything they didn’t already.

For_Never_EverParticipantExcept I’m not a fan. No offense r377. He hasn’t been in the league long enough for me to say that.

holefillers1ParticipantBoth games I’ve seen he shot well in dirst quarter and disappeared after adjustments were made. And all he does is shoot. I dont compare him to 3 and D guys Batum.

NBAjunkie81Participantguys like Lyles & Booker were So underutilized by Coach Cal & that’s why they lost to Wisconsin at the Final Four
& as fans we were robbed of a Duke vs Kentucky – Jahlil Okafor vs Karl Anthony Towns showdown in the Final w/ Kentucky’s undefeated season on the line……
But Lyles would show glimpses at KU — at 6’10” Lyles could shot the "3" & put the ball on the floor & drive to the Rim & either score the ball or dish in college
But in the Pro’s we have yet to see if he can do those things……. I like that Utah is looking to go w/ more of a Youth movement w/ Lyles & Exum —- so we’ll see what happens in Regular season…..

Dog_ShammdogParticipantReminds me of Robert Horry quite a bit in what he brings to the table. I’m not convinced he will be as good of a player at this point though. He could go either way, still young
