MorseWillParticipantDavid West gets vet minimum 1.29 M to go to Warriors. Good signing… Needed post presence, think he fits their style well. Not much of a rim protector is what they may miss in Bogut and Ezeli. Looks like West just wants a ring after taking another payout roughly a year after he left millions on the table to go to the Spurs.
What are your opinions on the signing and who else should the Warriors go after to fill out the roster?

KingslayerParticipantIn this market, the contracts for Zaza and West are absolute steals. Obviously the KD signing gets the headlines but these 2 deals are incredibly good value and will help them win another championship this year.
This is by far the most talented roster I’ve seen since I started watching basketball.

220ParticipantGetting Zaza Pachulia for the minimum is such a steal and he alleviates the loss of Andrew Bogut. Getting David West sites up much of the depth concerns the Warriors had.
Seeing the Warriors super team up kind of makes me sick.

JordoParticipantMaybe I don’t understand cause I’m not in his position but I would have gladly taken that 10+ mil to stay in Indiana for that last year and then gone ring chasing.

IndianaBasketballParticipantYea, terrible financial decision by West, but you can’t knock the man for passing up money for a championship as soon as he could.

BiggysmallsParticipantListen to "The Dance" by Garth Brooks. It’ll make sense to you then.
This is a fine signing for GS. He’s a vet. He knows what he’s doing and he’ll stay in his lane. He’ll play 12-15 minutes a night and set nasty picks and trash talk a lot.
I agree with 220, this whole GS thing just makes me miss college baseketball. At least there’s an illusion of parity in that sport. The NBA is just going to kind of stink for a while I think.

daggers818ParticipantWhere’s David stern to step in and veto when you need him! Dan Gilbert didn’t cry like wussy this time since he got a ring. Lakers were denied with CP3 but look where the league went since — more super teams.

D7H7NParticipantHe veto’d the trade since all trades have to be approved first.
You can’t do anything about UFA signings.

doubledribblerParticipantI remember that saying…"You have to beat the man to be the man."No one wants to beat the man. I get that guys want to win, just surprised so many guys from good teams would rather hop on a 73 win roster instead of trying to take them down. West was just on a 67 win team and Durant was just on a team that had the Warriors down 3-1. West and Pachulia combined are making around a 1/4 of what Mozgov makes and most people would probably agree both are better players. Let that sink in.

IndianaBasketballParticipantIt’s just crazy… Pachulia and D West are two tough/physical dudes who really know how to play and will embrace their roles. Both of those guys could prob command $8-10 million annually in this market. GSW paying them both a combined total of $4.8 million. Unreal.

Reptilian MonkParticipantGreat for the Warriors but this super team is getting ridicoulus. Maybe Wade and Dirk should take Vet minimums and go get a ring with the Warriors. Kind of ridiculous but yes I will watch and he Nba will get ratings watching loving or hating the super team

HitsterParticipantWith KD alongside Steph Curry MVP, Klay, Iggy and Draymond – the Warrriors are going to be team of choice for any good veteran chasing a title provided they will take minimum salaries.
There has been talk of Ray Allen possibly coming back to play for them too – Steph, Klay and Ray having 3 point shooting contests would be fun to watch.
