WWWOOOOOWWWW. Potentially the best team of all time. 2k17 will be a joke. If I was Lebron I would be begging wade to sign with the cavs.

Marc Stein says it is 2 year 54 million with a 2nd year player option. So he is giving it a season not locked up longterm. Interesting to see how people react. To me this is great for Durant to win a Championship but this is much worse than what Lebron did and the media/fans completely bashed and hated him. He is joining a super team that won 73 games last year.

My problem with Lebron’s move was The Decision itself more than anything. If he just calmly informed teams of his choice rather than the spectacle of The Decision. Durant will get some hate, but the way he did it I doubt it approaches the level of hate Lebron earned.

is wasn’t the leaving that hurt his rep. Everyone knew that the Cavs failed to put a good team around Lebron during his first stint there. It was the announcement special and "not one, not two" speech that rubbed people the wrong way.

So this means Barnes is a Mav now right?

Because raising millions of dollars for a charity that sponsors kids is always a god forsaken terrible idea.

Lebron Freakin James. He could hold a golf outing with his superstar buddies and raise millions of dollars for charity.

Instead he choose a "fundraiser" that soely focus on him and how great he is. It was a show of self centered egotistm only rivaled by MTV’s My Sweet Sixteen shows.

Forgive me, but when a man who received a $99 million shoe deal before he ever plays a game decides to create a spectacle that generates $500,000 to donate it doesn’t particularly move me. If it was simply about the money Lebron could have easily donated significantly more without blinking.

It will be very interesting to see how Steph and Durant co-exist next year.  These guys are superstars and both top 5 players in the world.  Both are go to guys and put up ridiculous numbers.  Do both of their numbers go down drastically next year?  They both need their touches and their shots because they are so talented offensively, so how will it all work next season?

Durant has spent years watching Westbrook take a ton of shots. I don’t think he will mind watching Steph and Klay take those shots. Especially since those shots come off of all the ball momevent that GS uses and OKC didn’t. KD will play in a very different style of offense next year. I’m really interested in seeing what KD can do if he is given 2 or 3 off ball screens on just one offensive possession.

I think both Curry and KD are more than willing to sacrafice numbers and shots to win. The players that win the most with this signing are Klay and Green. They are going to get even more open looks. You now have 3 shooters you can’t help off of, so teams will be forced to leave Green wide open at the 3 pt line to try and stop the other 3.

Durant went to Golden State because he knows that Lil’ B will have to lift the curse in favor of the Warriors franchise.

Dear god…I thought the bandwagon was bad last year….it’s gonna spread like herpies this year.

ESPN is already terrible but in a champion Lebron/KD led Warrior team era I can only imagine

Spurs- Aldridge is a GS mismatch and Leonard is a two way stud. Can the grandpa trio of Duncan, Manu, and Tony hang on for one more run?

Cavs- Lebron is still the favorite to not only win the East, but cruise through the East with 2 playoff losses or less. They have one more regular season to figure out how to make Love not suck in their offense. If they can, the trio of Kyrie, LOve and Lebron with Thompson rebounding is still a strong threat to repeat.

Everyone else- Play hard, have fun, enjoy your summer.

Well, I know who I’ll be rooting against next year, lol.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Warriors are really as great as expected next year. The teams will have to try to kill them on the backboards and in the paint. Bogut and Igoudala are a year older, most of their bench is probably leaving (can they afford a bench?). Crazy stuff, really like Durant, really hope this doesn’t work for him.

Your right. Mentally weak was proven with this move. Did what was best for him i guess, but my days of saying KD would be spoke of as one of the GOATs are silenced. Not going to happen.

This is ridiculous. Some of these guys have absolutely no pride at all. Don’t have any pride and will let the whole world see it. How can you be a 30 a game guy who is probably the 3rd best player in the league and you join a team who JUST WON 73 games in a season!! The crazy part to me is everyone knows that he’s sensitive and is always mad at the media. What do you think is going to happen now? He won’t get a moment of peace from here on, and he voluntarily signed up for it?

On top of everything, they aren’t guaranteed to win. Their main problem was rebounding and bringing Durant in isn’t going to change that much. Either way, I have a new team to dislike and boo. (laughing)

Can we utterly destroy Durant like we destroyed LeBron when he left Cleveland that one time? I think that would be appropriate, since there’s already a precedent for this sort of thing.

In seriousness, I can’t stress enough how bummed out this makes me. I actually enjoy watching basketball. I’m even watching Summer League stuff right now and it’s hard to watch but it’s still basketball. I’ve also defended this era’s greats (for the most part) when their competitiveness and motivation are questioned, but I can’t really justify this move. I hope for his sake that he wins with the Warriors, or that’s about it for the kind of legacy that he apparently wants so bad.
