Please nominate your best and worst pick of the 2016 draft.

    I will start

    Best: Kormaz @ 26
    Worst: 1T) Prince @ 12. 1T) Brown @ 3 (I think passing on Murray, Hield, Dunn was a mistake)

Best: Deyonta Davis at 32 for the Grizzlies. I thought the Bucks should have taken him at 10, I have him as the 3rd best big in the draft after Bender and Chriss.

Worst: Tie between Jaylen Brown at 3 and Maker at 10. People are wowed by Brown’s athleticism and intelligence, but intelligence =/ bball IQ. Brown was a turnover machine who shot terribly. Brown defenders cite the lack of talent around him, which is pretty ludicrous considering he was surrounded by Ivan Rabb, Tyrone Wallace, Jordan Matthews, and Jabari Bird, all top 100 recruits, where he spent a lot of time at small ball 4. I may be a borderline conspiracy theorist, but I believe Maker is 23 and is incredibly underdeveloped for his age.

Worst pick was Giorgios Papagiannis at 13 when they could have had him in the 40’s…But it’s Sacramento, and they suck every single year for a reason

The best pick is Ben Simmons, no doubt. The worst pick is Thon Maker @ 10. Should’ve gone for a pg, now they’ll be forced to overpay for a third string point guard (Dellavediva).

Delly is 3rd string? He averaged 21mpg over his first 3 years in the league, for the Eastern Conference Champs.

As usual, Delly finds himself as the go-to man for cheapshots on this forum.  It’s borderline impossible for Delly to be mentioned in anything other than a negative light.

It appears even a Cavs fan has no love, despite him giving 3 years of quality guard play for just 1m per year. If there has been a better bargain in the NBA than Delly over the last 3 years, I’m yet to find it.

Believe it or not Draftnet forum users, Delly is actually a good player. And for the Bucks at pick 10, the choices were Wade Baldwin (pick 17) and Dejounte Murray (pick 29). It will take 3 years, if ever, before those guys play at Dellys level.

Lets see the Bucks try and sign Delly using a sales pitch of "we’d really value you as a third-string PG".

Delly was so overrated. You see Lue go with Mo Williams in game 7 and he came up with a couple strip steals on Livingston while delly was getting back down and shot over all series.

Besides the fact that Sactown could have drafted him later, they already have qaulity centers and need talent at every other position.  They didn’t need WCS last year, so they draft another center this year, what the heck!

Best pick has to be Dejounte Murray at 29. Absolute steal. Top 10 talent that fell in the draft because he tends to play out of control and only weighs 170 pounds but he actually is a physical player that deals with contact well. Positional strength and balance is a concern but he is far from soft. Reminds me of Barton as far as body type goes.

I also think Murray at 29 so SAS was way too good to be true. He has an onscene amount of potential, and he will have every opportunity there to reach that potential. I think the sneaky best value pick is McCaw to GSW, he also has potential as a playmaking wing, and they have already guranteed his contract for two years so the organization believes in him. I initially wanted to see these two with my team, but I was realy happy they landed where they did as a fan.

I watched a ton of Pac-12 because of my schedule. Murray reminds me of Von Wafer. One second he can get to the basket and take over a game and the next second he commits to dumb touch fouls back-to-back and is on the bench the rest of the half.

Tony Parker can help him. Most of his issues are stupid decision making and bad shot selection. He’s like a poor man’s Russell Westbrook.

Best: Ben Simmons (1), Denzel Valentine (14), Ben Bentil (50)

Whatever: Buddy Hield, Jamal Murray, Henry Ellenson may be decent too.

Worst: Everyone else. There may be a few other role players, but for the most part this draft is terrible.

     this draft was so weak.

Simmons @#1 is the closest thing it had to a great pick,

Maker @ 10?  there were other teams looking at him not much later, I guess if he was your guy, it is not that bad,

    but…

Papagiannis @ 13,  nobody was even thinking about him, some people didn’t even have him on their draft boards, (not saying he can’t be a good player, but they could have gotten him 30 picks later.)

worst is the Papagiannis pick because they also had Chriss wearing the hat. dumb dumb dumb

after that Prince way to high atl typical pick for need medicrity. I guess they are not rebuilding, just staying halfass.

best pick was Murray to the Spurs. steal of the 1st.

2nd best was Cavs getting Felder to replace Williams scoring punch.

Jeezus calling Jaylen Brown the “worst pick” is a joke. He may or may not be better than “Heild, Murray or Dunn” in a few years, but clearly Brown has some serious talent and potential good upside. He could have gone anywhere in the top 7 and it just so happens that he went 3. Danny Ainge obviously looked closely at all the top picks and saw something he liked in Brown.

The “worst” pick should be someone drafted a lot higher than he was supposed to, like Sacramento’s ect.. J Brown will be fine IMO.

Damn, the season just ended and already I can’t wait for it to get started.

I’ll never understand how the Kings trade away Marqueese Chriss a guy that is from the Sacramento area and seems like a high character guy that is intelligent. Not to mention the rare talent he has that every is after in the NBA today. Would be a great young player to add to the roster and help shape the culture in Sacramento.

I actually don’t think Papagiannis is such a bad pick at 13. He seems mobile enough to play the 5 full time, has good hands and coordination, seems to have great feel for the game and generally enjoys playing basketball which is rare for a player his size. Also he is a proven player who has played in a men’s league and earned his position as a starter. I’m sure Denver and Boston had scouted him and who’s to say they don’t pick him up in the mid 1st round instead of Hernangomez/Beasley or Yabusele.

If they truly believe he is a better prospect than Chriss and believe that other teams could have scouted him figured this out then why not trade him for PapaG and Skal. I just think Chriss landed to them and they shouldn’t have played with it. He was a perfect fit character wise and with Cousins and WCS going forward. Now you have 4 Centers going forward and 3 that are projects.
