DolanCareParticipantEveryone is talking about how the Celtics need to make a move, what about the Nuggets? They have an aboslute logjam of a roster which cuts down on play time and the development of young talent.
Gallinari may be a contract to move at this point, but what about Nikola Jurkic. Jurkic showed flashes in his rookie year but he’s riding pine behind Jokic and Lauvergne. Isn’t it wise for the Nuggest to shop Jurkic or should they try to up his stock this season? Perhaps package him along with Faried?

sweaterflexParticipantThe Nuggets by all reports are still very high on Nurkic and see him being able to play with Jokic, particularly since Jokic doesn’t really defend the rim. Lauvergne’s playing time was mostly a function of managing Nurkic’s health, he does not project to stay beyond this contract. Chandler and Faried are the most likely to be traded, and they can get a good haul if they include Will Barton’s below market contract. It’s also hard to envision they keep Harris, Murray, and Beasley, though Beasley will be brought along slowly with his injury concerns and Murray may get minutes backing up Mudiay as well.

DolanCareParticipantThis made me laugh. I’m currently based in Myanmar typing on a crappy Chinese phone, so my .net posts are hardly works of art. I also have no idea why ‘absolute’ was treated as a curse word…. It would have been an ideal spot to insert one, but I didn’t.

juves4783Participantthis team is really deep, but i think they have an identity crisis. mudiay, barton, chandler, faried and lauvergne are high energy, transition type guys and then you got nurkic, jokic, gallo, harris and murray who play more in the halfcourt. the best 5 is a mix up of the 2 type of lineups. it’ll be interesting to see how malone plays them all or who they move. to me, barton is most likely, given his contract and they have depth with murray playing the sg and jameer nelson under contract for another couple years. i don’t know who would take chandler after missing most the season with injuries at $10+M/year until 2018 (player option for 2019). i’m also not sure if people see faried’s contract as a good value since he’s getting paid $11-13M/year until 2019 and he’s seen more as an energy type player that lacks a refined offensive game and struggles at times on defense.

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantDeep teams make the playoffs. They just have a traffic jam of mediocre talents.

circumlocution75ParticipantSeason – the Nuggets have been a 30’something win team for 3 years under new team leader Ty Lawson –
We really took for granted what Emmanuel Mudiay accomplished this past season when he took over for Lawson ——– I know Denver had some Talent
but Mudiay averaged 30+ minutes per game – he scored, he rebounded & he lead the team in assists —- but Most importantly he provided mature Leadership at the PG position that Belied his young age………
I Luved this kid coming entering the Draft & he did Not dissappointed —— He’s not a great shooter – but he is an Elite athlete & in addition to his Leadership & Maturity, he is a Physical defender who sets a tone at the Defensive end by locking down his counter-part & at the Offensive end he can Penetrate & get to the Rin at will But he is a Pass first Tryue PG.
I’m Very excited to see how Jamal Murray & Malik Beasely will fit into that Denver Back-court

OhCanada-ParticipantNah they are fine. Even if they bring Hernangomez over. Jokic is a really good starting C for the future but even with that being said there’s not many C’s in the league that average over 28-mpg. Jusuf Nurkic is not a great pick and roll defender and he isn’t great in space so he is more of aa specialist for now. Keeping him at 20 mpg is not a crime.
As for the rest of the team at gaurd Mudiay could be good for 30-mpg, Harris would start IMO for about 28-mpg, Galinari could play 32-mpg at SF then Faried at 30-mpg at PF.
Off the bench Murray like his team Canada role for 18-mpg at PG and 10-mpg at SG eqaulling 28-mpg, Barton could fill in the wing positions playing the other 10-mpg at SG and 16-mpg at SF for 26-mpg and Hernangomez who I would bring over immediately would fill the 18-mpg as a reserve PF.
The odd man out would be Wilson Chandler who at 10-mil per should be an interesting trade target that could get some assets back for. Beasley and Lauveregne need to earn thier keep or get playing time in the D-League.
Mudiay, Murray
Harris, Murray, Barton
Galinari, Barton, Hernangomez
Faried, Hernangomez
Jokic, Nurkic
**On the block**
-Chandler-
**D-League/Bench**
-Beasley, Lauveregne-

HitsterParticipantFaried would have decent trade value given he has 3 years left on his deal and his salary will look very good value under the new higher cap level. The Nuggets would probably listen to offers for Gallinari too given his injury issues.
Denver’s backcourt looks to have a lot of potential with Mudiay, Harris now being joined by Murray and Beasley.
I’d assume they will look to keep Jurkic as the duo are both young players and minutes can be shared about.
Denver are still in rebuild and possibly need a bit of luck in a future lottery to get that star player to take them back into contention. But they have drafted solidly in recent years and have ammassed some decent young talent they look as if they will give time to develop.
They may well be lottery again next year but that wouldn’t be a disaster if the young talent continues to improve and they can add further pieces to refine the roster.
