SlickBouncePassParticipantOkay, here we go:
1) Noel to Boston for the 3rd Pick seems too good to be true. But if its true, we can grab Dunn. I still like the idea of waiting for a PG in next year’s deep draft, but next year is strong in big men, so I’m fine with Dunn if the sixers are that high on his defensive abilities. I don’t like the fact that he struggles shooting, but if he’s a stud defender and thats what Brett Brown wants, I’m okay with it, especially if it involves only giving up Noel. However, I might take Dragan Bender here, have a 7 foot stretch 4 with a lot of upside to play next to Embiid. But let’s go with Dunn.
2) Okafor + 24 and 26 to PHX for 4 and 13. Initially I wanted Noel to PHX for 13 and Brandon Knight, but thats not enough for the 3rd pick in last year’s draft, post weapon, double double guaranteed double team defensively. So Okafor plus 2 picks for 4 and 13. With 4 I take Jamal Murray, and 13 I take Malachi Richardson. Richardson’s first jersey was Iverson and his favorite team is the Philly Eagles, he’s a good fit here. Okafor for Murray and Richardson seems fair to me.
3) Sign Evan Fournier and one of Festus Ezeli and Bismack Biyombo in FA. I really like Fournier’s game and think his skill is badly needed on the Sixers. Ezeli and Biyombo are insurance bigmen until we draft some reinforcements next year.
In this plan we have addressed our guards and have a suitable frontcourt.
Guards: Dunn (1), Murray (2), Richardson and Stauskas on the bench.
Swingmen: Fournier (3)
Frontcourt: Simmons (4), Embiid (5), Saric, Ezeli or Biyombo, Grant,
Plausible???

binetParticipantNoel to Boston for 3rd pick is very close to a fair deal right now. The thing is I am not sure any of the 2 teams wants to be doing that trade. First, Philly wants to build the team around someone that is not Jahlil Okafor, and Noel, though less impactful and talented is a more flexible player and ideal as a non go-to-guy for the future. On the contrary, Boston is looking for a player to up there game and maybe be the go-to-guy, Okafor is far more interesting as a former NCAA tournament winner and reliable go-to-guy on offense. He is worse than Noel on D, sure, but it’s not like Boston bigs are that good on D either, their defense relies more on their perimeter players right bnow. Under the right coaching of Brad Stevens, Okafor will become a better defender and eventually could be a really good fit.
The 3rd pick of this draft is not going to be good soon enough and should be a backcourt guy, something the Celtics have butloads, like 6ers big men.
Okafor for 4th and 13 would be a steal for the Suns, and Philly probably wants to limit their number of true rookies next year. This is not going to happen.
Watch for a trade shipping one of the late first rounders from Philly to Brooklyn for Bogdanovic. Bogdanovic is a serviceable SG, who speaks serbian for Saric integration, and is a veteran with experience, and the nets want to be in this draft.
Fournier would be an incredible fit if they can have him I agree.

220ParticipantI’m not sure the 76ers could get the #3 pick for Noel. If they could the rumors appear that the deal might already be done.
I’ve seen nothing that indicates that the Suns want Jahlil Okafor. They already have Tyson Chandler and Alex Len at Center so they don’t have a particular need and it seems that the Suns could absolutely fill some needs at #4 and #13.
Depending on how the draft goes adding Evan Fournier makes a lot of sense. He absolutely has skills the 76ers could utilize. If the 76ers dealt Okafor and Noel then adding Ezeli and Biyombo would make sense from their standpoint. I just don’t know if either would want to go to a rebuilding situation and I imagine both would be wanted by better teams who also have money to spend. I don’t imagine free agency being kind on the 76ers this year, but if they have a solid year this upcoming season then next year’s free agency could go significantly better.

HitsterParticipantSaric is the guy I think they try to move on – I’ve mentioned him to Toronto for 9th pick, if Philly wanted a better return maybe Denver for 7th pick if Denver are after Bender, they get the more NBA ready Saric for a cheaper salary than 7th pick commands.
With 7th pick Philly have a great chance to add one of the higher backcourters in this year’s draft.

binetParticipantSaric’s profile is gold in NBA right now and he has potential to be the perfect fit alongside Simmons. Simmons is probably going to have the ball in his hand a lot and play Point Forward going in the paint a lot. A stretch 4 like Saric is a perfect fit there, allowing Simmons to be either in the paint either running plays on offense while guarding perimeter guys (I think he is better as a perimeter defender). Also, Saric fits as well alongside all three of Embiid, Okafor and Noel.
Saric’s trade value is not as big as his talent in my opinion, so trading him seems silly.
Also, Saric is more experienced as a player and team captain of his national team, that kind of personality is something Philly needs. (Remember the guy played the day after losing six teeths in 2014’s worlds, the guy is a fighter).
European team first approach is also something that Philly desperately needs.
I would not trade Saric for #3 or #4 if I was in charge, I think he will end up more important than Okafor and Noel (I agree that his trade value is below that though, but that’s why he is never getting traded).

vulture711Participantmoving okafor and noel. Doing so assumes Embiid can stay healthy through a full season and that’s an unknown. I know they need to beef up the 1,2,3 but I’d rather dangle Saric or future picks
as much as I want Embiid to be a success – keeping one of the other two provides some insurance

CavFanPRParticipantPhilly is in a rought spot. Okafor has the best trade value but he’s their best player right now. Noel has mild value, trading him might not be worth it. Embiid has zero trade value. Might be better off keeping all three and see how Embiid performs in his rookie season before making a decision.
