UncledrewParticipantWith LeBron finally delivering on his promise to bring a championship to Cleveland the scrutiny of Kevin Loves subpar play has lessened. Love’s fit with the team is still in question and while he had a few bright moments in game 7, his inconsistency offensively as the 3rd option and in capabilities defensively remain a glaring concern for this Cleveland team. Moving forward, I think Cleveland should look to move Love but for what exactly? Love’s value around the league has no dought diminished with his stint in Cleveland but not to the extent you may think. He’s still a 6’10 rebounding machine who can score on the block and shoot 40 percent from 3 and still just 27 years old. My suggestion is that Clevland ships love to Boston for Avery bradley, Amir Johnson and Rj Hunter. I think Loves talents would shine brighter as the main option in Boston and Brad Steven’s will hide his defensive deficiency’s much better not to mention they will finally get a second Allstar to pair with IT. On the flip side Cleveland will get a mobile athletic big man in Johnson who runs the floor, cleans glass, and finishes above the rim. Bradley is the centerpiece of the trade for Cleveland. He just came off a first team all defensive year and is on the short list of best perimeter defensive players in the entire league. Lebron his self even acknowledged Bradley and says that he gives his team another dynamic when he’s on the floor defensively so I’m sure he wouldn’t mind suiting up with him. Bradley will draw the hardest defensive assignment, allow Jr to become instant offense off the bench and become a reliable outside floor spacer. RJ Hunter is just a filler to match salary(21.5 million). Ofcourse I would love to see kevin Love net Carmelo, the mismatch nightmare I’m sure LeBron would love to have. But if they settled for something solid like this I wouldn’t be upset. What do you guys think?

Al PerezParticipantCeltics trade
Avery Bradley, Kelly Olynyk, James Young/or RJ Hunter #16 pick and #31
for
Kevin Love
Boston still gets to keep the #3 pick and #23 picks in the draft to either try to do another trade or add some prospects and they get a "star" in K. Love (still a Top 25 player in this league) who would thrive with Stevens and the Celtics. Cleveland gets a lock down perimeter defender with a nice mid range game, a stretch big that can play the Kevin Love role at 1/5 the price, a young wing who could be groomed and not be expected to contribute much on a championship team and could use the #16 pick on a versatile wing like Valentine (fills Jefferson’s 3&D role) and with pick #31 they can grab one of the Centers with perceived issues (AJ Hammons,, Diamond Stone, Damian Jones) or one of the international big men.

Reptilian MonkParticipantIf they traded Love to Celts Cavs are in win now mode. they want proven players not 20 year olds and more picks. Cavs would probably want Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder for K love.

asmartin626ParticipantI don’t think Love to Celtics would be a bad thing for either team, but if I’m Cleveland…there no deal with Boston without Crowder being involved. Like Bradley, Crowdee, Hunter/Young, #16. And if I’m Celtics, I’d hate to loose Crowdee on that deal, but I wouldn’t be opposed to it either. They need somebody who can put points up, and love would go back to being #1 option(barring a separate trade or signing) and I could easily see him stepping into that roster and being 20-22ppg 12rpg 4apg player again.
I doubt any trade happens with love tho. I wouldn’t mind it, just cause I love crazy roster changes for some odd reason. It’d be hard to get rid of him coming off a title

halfdecayedParticipantalready said but Crowder has to be a part of the trade.. Would give a nice 3 and D player and a lockdown defender on the perimeter with Bradley.. I know it would be hard to trade Love after a title though, but it would be a win win IMO because Lebron is just better at the 4 anyway..

Meditated StatesParticipantLove is not what they need. Rebounding was not a major issue either. Rim protection is needed. A 6ft 7 scorer who can defend helps. Bradley averages 15 shoots 3 at high percentage, good deal,1st team D. Don’t like that trade with him in there. Crowder and pick,Sullinger is what I offer.
