Not saying the Warriors need to get rid of Kerr or anything, but am I the only one thinking how much better this team seamed under Walton, maybe its just me. What are your guys thoughts?

They will definitely miss Luke’s presence next year! I think Kerr is a good coach, however, what annoys me most is that people put him n that first tier level of coaches next to POP, because of their amazing run and overlook the fact that he inherited a great team which is extremely talented and young. It annoys me that he won COY and only coached half of the year and his assistant coach had a better record.

Kerr made a series of questionable decisions with his rotations. I know his rotation was depleted, but Ezeli was really hurting him. The first few minutes led to the following sequence: 1) Ezeli missed layup/dunk. 2) JR made shot over Ezeli. 3) Ezeli offensive foul. 4) Made shot, and-one over Ezeli. At the beginning of the third he also had two defensive possessions in a row that led to a made 3 and a layup.

He was obiously the weak link. Barnes was really bad too. Neither seemed up to the moment. Both are young, but I’m not convinced they deserve huge contracts.

I thought Barbosa, Livingson, and Speights actually gave them good minutes, but Kerr didn’t give as maning key minutes to them. I thought that was weird. Kerr’s offensive is great and he is a good motivator, but those rotations killed them this game.

Definitely should have given more minutes to Barbosa and Speights imo. and yes Barnes was off big time. Ezeli also bit on lebron’s pumpfake wich started the come back for CLE when GSW was about to start pulling away

They’re the first team to let a team come back from being down 3-1. This is one team of many that depend on the 3 point shot way to much. You live by the 3, you’re going to die by the 3. Some nights they don’t fall. Their last 7 shots of the game were 3 pointers, and all were  missed.

Nah. It was the start ofthe season so obviously Walton would have the better record. When it was getting evident that GSW may break the 72 win record, the target on their backs got larger and larger. You could see though that teams really wanted to beat the Warriors and game intensity was of the charts as the season went on.

Also, Walton is a product of coach Kerr. He inherited a one-of-a-kind system that is just hard to guard. He convinced Curry and Thompson to constantly move without the ball. I mean really, star players have a bad tendency to not move without the ball. They always want to have the ball in their hands. Both credit to Curry and Thompson for accepting that role, and for Kerr for convincing them that you don’t always have to be a pick and roll and isolation ball-handler. Kerr implemented a system that set the tone for the team. You rarely see the players get lost on offense, and they just keep moving.

Lastly, I don’t think Kerr should be faulted for starting Ezeli. He didn’t want to be dominated at the boards during the first minutes so the Warriors could gain momentum. It’s not his fault Ezeli played like shit. And he removed Festus immediately after his idiocies.

And to the reply above, yes, Kerr is an elite coach. There is just something about him that only a few other elite coaches also have. And it’s that he COMMANDS respect. You can really see that players respect him. Compare his in-huddle speeches to that of Derek Fisher or Billy Donovan and you can see that there is just something with Kerr and the way he speaks that gets the whole team going.

Do you realize what LeBron did in this series? You cannot coach your way out of what he did. His counting numbers were better last year because they had to be to have any chance. Still, down 3-1, he shot 51 percent for the rest of the series. He averaged 36.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, 9.7 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocked shots. He dominated a Game 7 where he couldn’t make a perimeter shot to save his life. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the guy.

He’s definitely a great coach, but I think he lost the game for them when he put Ezeli back in in the 4th. Why did he even think that was a good idea? I’m sure he had his reasons, but I can’t think of any. Barbosa or Speights (I think Livingston was already on the floor) would’ve been much better options, because the only thing Ezeli could do against the Cavs all series was foul. Awful decision by Coach Kerr

Unless Adam Silver slipped him a text at halftime to put him in the game in the 4th, cause we all know it was rigged

Sarcasm bro lol I’ve said a bunch of times on here that people saying its rigged are idiots.

Also just telling someone to “take this L” is a horrible way to try and win an argument. It annoys me that people can just say that or dab and people act like they actually did or said anything important. But that’s my opinion

I luv Steph but he was really bad down the strecth of that game

He IS the PG & he is Forcing 3’s

& Not getting Draymond the ball when he had 30 pts thru 3qtrs

Cleveland just did a Great job —- they got down & dirty & stopped trying to "out 3point" the Warriors

This is why the NBA will Never completely change to "Small Ball"

B/c when you Force a team to Defend in the paint & at the rim —- it Destroys their Legs & Stamina

And when you get Tired it effects your decision making & Curry seemed utterly Exhuasted from being beaten up at Both ends –

Basketball is a Man’s game – an Alpha Male’s game

It was a bad shot. I think there was a bit of it being an ego move given that Irving just hit the big 3. If you have the ball down 3 with 50 seconds to go, you go quick but don’t panic. He had his mind set on a 3 when it didn’t need to be, and the defense was betting on them wanting a 3. He is not the first guy to screw up in that moment, and won’t be the last.
