burgessfourParticipantMaybe us Sixers fans are over-thinking it. How about Noel for Oladipo ? This deal would seem to help both teams create a little more roster balance. The Sixers probably need to add something small to the deal.

bmac697ParticipantI think Orlando needs to re sign Fournier before trading their other sg for a centre. I do like the fit of Noel on Orlando but let’s be realistic here.

Hype MachineMost teams will probably test their luck with free agents given how much cap space they have, prior to trading away their starters.
I saw the list of free agents and its stacked…
Philly could be in some trouble getting fair value for their guys if they arent patient. I wouldnt expect a trade until after free agency and even into the season when teams realise they need a shake up.

NBAjunkie81Participantis Not………. I realize Vucevic can score but he’s like Okafor lite………. Orlando has a stable of athletes……..& Noel would fit perfectly……..
But Sixers fans if I were you I would Much rather have Fournier than Oladipo…….. Simoons & Embiid are Supreme Athletic Freaks….. you need Shooters outside otherwise your wasting Simmons & Embiid’s ability to draw double teams……….
What’s Oladipo gonna do w/ a Wide open shot???……… He’ll pull it down & drive inside where All the traffis just got sucked in……….. Redundant………
BTW …… Spot on Post HypeMachine………….. 100% agree…………. & I luv the new pic…………..

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantNo offense to VO, but he wouldn’t be a great fit next to Simmons, than again we all thought Wade and Lebron couldn’t work well but they won 2 rings in 4 years…
Maybe the 76ers are trying to copy the Heat/Cavs model with James as a main facilitator and Wade or Irving playing 1 vs 1 around him and a few shooters
If the 76ers see Simmons as a Lebron lite talent, then adding a Wade lite G like VO or even Kris Dunn via Trade may make a lot of sense…
I would absolutely want Hezonja if we were talking trade, he’s the best fit next to Saric and Simmons at F, he can rain 3’s and attack the paint on cuts to the basket…
All in All, this isn’t a terrible idea, we just have to ask who is the better fit…
Mario, Victor, Evan or Dunn/Hield via Trade…Seems like Orlando and Philadelphia could be great trade partners…

high floorParticipantBoth Noel and Oladipo are eligible for an extension at the same time.. so they have that element in common as well.
Oladipo is by no means a consistent 3pt threat, but he’s also not a liability either. His shooting is just under a microscope and accentuated a little more negatively because of how Elfrid Payton’s jumpshot is so shaky. I think Oladipo could bust loose in a big way for Philly if he’s their 1st or 2nd option on offense.
The only thing that gives me pause for Orlando is that they would have two players completely reliant on scoring in the paint with Elfrid Payton & Noel.. at positions that emphasize space more than ever now at PG & PF. Would Orlando consider addressing that weak point via free agency or trade? Maybe Darren Collision (who surprisingly shot 40% from three) or Jeff Teague would be brought in at the point guard position to help offset this.
Either way, I’m all for trades that benefit both teams.. and on the surface this seems to be respectable for Philly and Orlando.

OhCanada-ParticipantNo way I would do that if I’m Orlando. It is very likely at 11 in this draft the BPA will be a bigman, they may even be lucky to have Poetl drop to them. If not Poetl they will likely be able to choose from a plethora of bigmen oncluding Sabonis, Davis, Maker, Labissiere, Stone, Zimmerman, Zicic, Zubac to name a few. With Fournier pending free agency that can’t afford to trade a starting perimeter talent and cornerstone of the franchise with plenty of upside for what would end up being frontcourt depth with plenty of upside.
