Meditated StatesParticipantWho is the best shooting guard in next years draft? John Wall is listed as a point so he is out of the discussion. Who? and Why?

Knicksboy34ParticipantPaul George. He could be the next K-O-B-E
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/12/2009 - 12:28pm #180371

JoeWolf1Willie Warren is a bit of a combo guard, but he plays mostly shooting guard in college, and he is a game changer, great skill set, with speed and amazing athleticism playing in a big conference against top competition, in my opinion he is going to be the best shooting guard in this class

JNixonParticipantI would go with Paul George. He’s impressive. Then Evan Turner, he can do it all. He is more like Brandon Roy than anyone I’ve seen. Then Warren, he is a good scorer. He could be like Ben Gordon

deuce4offI think Paul George may be more of a SF rather than SG. If he plays SG in the league, then yes he’s the top SG. If not, I like Evan Turner a little more than Willie Warren due to Turner’s advantage in size and strength. Turner is also a great rebounder along with being a good defender. I think he may have a Brandon Roy type impact his rookie year as Turner does everything well and doesn’t really have any weakness in his game. Willie comes in 2nd.

MagikKnickParticipantZAH-VEE-AY
Xavier Henry, say what u may…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/12/2009 - 1:50pm #180407
Michael.S.ParticipantPaul George has the potential to be unstoppable and his skill set is pretty nice already
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/12/2009 - 1:55pm #180412
bonishswhsParticipantVery comparable to Roy due to size, ball-handling ability, and great court vision. I think he’ll definitely end up a top 10 pick next year, and could go as high as top 5.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/12/2009 - 1:56pm #180413

JNixonParticipantHenry is mostly a shooter right now. Needs better all-around skills before he can be mentioned as the best 2-guard.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/12/2009 - 2:10pm #180419

gatorheelsParticipantSylvan Landesberg….he is very good. I think he will be even better this year as a sophomore. I think Landesberg will be the best SG. Evan Turner is my 2nd choice. Lance Stepehnson is good too. I’m not sure all three of these guys enter the 2010 draft though.
Paul George is so overrated right now it isn’t even funny.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/12/2009 - 2:14pm #180420

JNixonParticipantLandesburg is a good player, a sleeper. He scares me because he doesnt look that explosive and he isnt a standout at anything. He seems like a good college player that wont be a great NBA player. He certainly isnt the best 2 guard in this draft.

Michael.S.Participantyoure overrating Sylvan Landesberg and u must be hating on George because he has superstar potential
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/12/2009 - 2:40pm #180439

gatorheelsParticipantno not really….have u ever see Landesberg play?
The funny thing is nobody was talking about George until they saw nbadrat.net had him going in the top 5 in their mock 2010 draft hahahahahh
Yall just jumped right on the bandwagon. I’m not hatin on George he just hasn’t proved anything to me yet. His team was absolutely terrible in a weak a$$ conference.

BasketballGuru24ParticipantI Like Xavier Henry…….But Evan Turner Is The Best shooting Guards
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/12/2009 - 3:12pm #180466

JNixonParticipantVirginia didnt exactly dominate either my friend. He was the only player on that team that could create for theirself too. So he carried their scoring. George did the same thing but from the 2 times I saw him play, he is a very good looking player.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/12/2009 - 3:18pm #180468

gatorheelsParticipantHe also plays in the ACC…the competition is WAY BETTER
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/12/2009 - 3:20pm #180472

sameolGParticipantAvery Bradley!!! (bias decision)
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/12/2009 - 3:22pm #180475

gatorheelsParticipantHa.. I have only seen Bardley play once. I am looking forward to seeing what type of year he has for Texas.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/12/2009 - 3:29pm #180482

JNixonParticipantI wonder how good he’ll be too. He seems talented though. They say he was the best perimeter defender in the 09 class
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/12/2009 - 3:57pm #180510

Meditated StatesParticipantI think George has a lot of potential, but I agree with Gatorheels I want to see him destroy that weak a$$ conference this upcoming year. If he does then he is the man. Turner looks complete and I like the way he absorbs contact and still finishes.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/12/2009 - 4:00pm #180514

Knicksboy34ParticipantWhat about Lance?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/12/2009 - 4:03pm #180515

matt12328ParticipantFinishes at the basket very well, has a nice mid-range game and has a noise for the ball. Good size too.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/12/2009 - 4:14pm #180518

Meditated StatesParticipantI don’t know if he is coming out and I can’t see him going before Turner with his suspect backround, unless he kills it in year 1 at Cincy. Monster numbers I think it will take for Lance to jump over Turner. He could do it,but I don’t think so.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/12/2009 - 9:43pm #180594

lalailaParticipantPeople forgot him, he was top5 JUST MONTHS AGO…he may not good all-around player but 18yrs boy with 6’6″ 225 and still can jump, can run , can handle, and he is the best shooter in this draft…Someone remember that last year there were thoughts that if Eric Gordon were 3inch taller he could be top pick..here he is 6’6″ eric gordon 😀
also I like Bradley(but I don’t like his comparison with Westbrook, his all-around is way worse) Willie Warren is like a sleeper after Both Griffins left he can easily become 22-23ppg scorer, and sorry, I don’t know alot about Paul George0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/13/2009 - 1:06am #180614
DeedsNo particular order:
Evan Turner
Paul George
Willie Warren0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/14/2009 - 6:06pm #181689
bluedevils12Participantwow im so glad im not the only one who knows about sylvan landesburg. all i can say is bonafide star
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/15/2009 - 4:47am #181791

gatorheelsParticipantYeah thanks bluedevils12…. that dude is awesome…people just don’t know about him YET
Paul George is so overrated..haha I just had to say that one more time
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/15/2009 - 5:09am #181803
Untouchable JParticipantSoooo I see the new in-thing is to compare any player who is not overly athletic and rather bland..compare him to Brandon Roy!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/15/2009 - 5:15am #181804
Untouchable JParticipantlalaila, THANK YOU! Finally someone is honest.
Nobody knows who Paul George is. Im convinced of this. This site put him in top 5, people read his bio and saw his face on the front page, and ran with it.
GTFOH Fresno St aint been relevant since Between the Madness (google it) yet errybody pegging ‘Paul mufuggin George’ as…”o yea he’s a beast, i like his skill set” HOW? lol So people were up at midnight watchin him play Cal St Fullerton?
LIARS, all of you.
Rant complete.
