     Draft Ben Simmons #1 overall

Trade Jahlil Okafor plus the 24th pick for Marcus Smart plus the 3rd and 16th picks in the Draft

Draft Jamal Murray and Denzel Valentine 3rd and 16th Overall

    New 76ers after Draft Night

    F Ben Simmons

    G Marcus Smart

    G Jamal Murray

    G/F Denzel Valentine

    76ers 2016/2017 Lineup

    G Smart-Murray-Smith-Valentine-Stauskas

    F Simmons-Saric-Covington-Grant-Holmes

    C Noel-Embiid

Plenty of Cap space to add a few pieces, feel free to make any suggestions (I still love the idea of adding Evan Fournier)

I like Jahlil, but I don’t see any way Boston gives up Smart, 3, and 16 for him and 24. Even just Smart and 3 is probably too much. Whatever people think about Smart he is already a really good defender and still has a lot of room to grow offensively. I think if the 76ers could get 3 and 16 for Jahlil that’d be good value. I do like the idea of pairing Murray with Simmons though. Then with 16 you could take a wing that can shoot it hope Luwawu falls otherwise go Korkmaz or Beasley. A lineup of Murray Luwawu Saric Simmons Noel/Embiid I think would be a great core moving forward.

I don’t think they would have to throw in the 24th pick but I’ll go along with your scenario as I can tell your trying not to seem biased. I’m not for trading Okafor but it would work out well if they did. The fact is at 24 you can’t really draft a complete player that can immediately contribute or provide long-term value in the perimeter like you can mid 1st with this draft. The gaurd depth isnt good in this draft its a bigman draft At 16 you can likely pick from a few of the following guys Valentine, Beasley, Luwawu, Richardson, Korkmaz, Murray which in my opinion would be much better fits than the guys in the 20’s like McCaw, Bembry, Levert (I love Caris game but he’s always injured).

Another thing is that in your scenario you still have a 1st round pick available (26th). In this scenario I would go after a C. You can stash with Zizic, Zubac, Zhou, Papagiannis or utilize the D-League with Stone, Zimmerman, Maker (likely gone IMO).

I’ve been thinking for a while the 76ers best bet in this draft is to get Simmons and Valentine so I completely agree with that. Denzel would be a perfect complement to Simmons in so many ways. Second ball handler, ability to shoot and space, ability to play off the ball, his maturity level and professionalism, his work ethic, teamwork and leadership skills. Perfect running mate for Simmons in his early years.

Murray works great as well as his biggest weakness is creating for others and he can thrive playing off the ball while guarding PG’s. Smart would also provide versatility but from a defensive perspective.

Lol cmon Scarecrow you cant get that kinda haul for Okafor. I think Bostons gonna see what they can get in free agency before giving anything up.

Whats the scoop on Saric right now?

Draft Jamal Murray as your 2 guard………. Draft  Ulis as your back up 1 @ pick #24……… & Draft Patrick McCaw of UNLV w/ #26 there is your back up 1 & 2 guards………

Teague a Veteran 27 y/o former All Star PG who will be playing for a new contract & he is the Perfect fit for a Young Phila Roster………..

He plays an Unselfish game & he’ll be a Great Leader on that Young team……. If Phila luvs him they can re-sign him…… if Not Phila will possibly be a Playoff team w/ that Lineup…….. & will suddenly become a Viable destination for Other Free Agent PG’s………….

You can All 4 of those Atrocious guards you played last year – Ish Smith, Isaiah Canaan, TJ McConnell & Nik Stauskus – the WORST 4 guard grouping in NBA History ………. they Absolutely Stunted Okafor’s growth & Wrecked Noel’s Development……….

They are Both fiar trades to Boston & Atlanta ………. "Win – Win for All 3 Franchises…….. & Phila has a Murderous Young Line Up of Embiid / Simmons / Saric / J.Murray & Teague…….. w/ decent young back ups & you STILL have a Ton of 1st round picks in 2017, 18 & 19………

Next June Phila will Most likely have Two top 10 picks in 2017 where they can Grab Two studs like Markelle Fultz & Jason Tatum……… Phila has a Bright Future…….

I think the 76ers might be able to get #3 and Smart for Okafor or perhaps #3 and #16 for him, but I don’t think they’ll be able to get #3, #16, and Smart for Okafor and a late first round pick.

Stop it crazy Philly fan! Boston is high on Smart, Okafor doesn’t win Boston a title. Sixers need Boston more then Boston needs Philly. Philly has the log jam, Celtics are coming off a 48 win season and have the 3rd pick in the draft. Other teams are going to be calling the Celtics with trade offers for the pick.

After Boston who giving up a high pick for Okafor?

The NBA is a League Dominated by Guards who can Score……… if they can play Defense too……… Bonus…….. & Smart is a very good, physical defender…..

But this is a League that Frowns on Physical play outside the paint…… Smart would have been Great in the 80’s…….

Boston just Dumped Rondo b/c he can Not shoot………. Rondo was a Fantastic talent but his lack of shooting ability crippled the team…..

Why did Boston take Smart who Also can Not shoot …… but also gives you None of the penetration, scoring & passing of Rondo……..

Okafor is 19 & you can Book him for 20 ppg & he’ll open up space for Every other player on the team…….. The Regular season might be an Up & Down the court game…….

But the Playoffs – Especially the final 5 minutes – are a Half Court Grind………. & Okafor as a Kid on a Garbage team was one of the Best Half – Court scoring threats in the Entire NBA……. Boston would have Easily beaten Atlanta w/ Okafor on that team………

I’m a Lakers fan & I watched this kid religiously last – as much as I could Stomach of Sixers games – it Killed me that we Drafted Russell…….. Phila’s coach used Okafor All wrong – he would Entirely run their offense thru those Horrific guards……….. & he Still scored 18 a game 0n 50+% FG%………. Boston can Not get Anyone in this Draft outside the Top 2 who can help them as much in the next year or two………….

I agree they can’t get anyone outside of the top two that can have as much as an impact as Okafor can next season. Ingram can’t even make the impact Okafor could.

If you look at the stats Smart doesn’t stand out, if you’re not a Boston fan I doubt you caught many of his games live. Smart isn’t a guy who is going to be a franchise player. Smart is a great defensive player who played all 5 positions on defense this season. When your a contending team like the Celtics having defensive versitility is huge, which is why I said in my post Boston values him high, probably a lot higher then Philly since they aren’t competing.

When Smart and Bradley are in the backcourt together they are the best defensive backcourt in the NBA. That’s worth a lot in todays game to a playoff team. Okafor seems overvalued by Philly fans and undervalued by Boston fans. If Okafor gets traded it will be fun to see what they get for him

much for Ok4, and I’m a Sixers fan. Based on the deals he’s made in the past I don’t think Ainge will be willing to give up much more than 3 for Ok4. If I was Colangelo I would turn my attention to Phoenix and pick 4. I would be willing to give up Noel plus some combo of 24/26, Sauce, Cov, Grant, Holmes for pick 4. Or picks 4 & 13 & maybe a bad contract for Ok4 plus.
