What does KD do now? He clearly needs to get out of the west and the easiest path to the finals is on the East Coast.  Is there a perfect team for KD out there or does he need to be built around.  If your KD what do you do?  I think the perfect fit for him is Boston.  Brad Steves is one of the best coaches in the league.  People say you need a star to lure Durant but Durant will lure Stars himself.  The Celtics also offer durant and one thing no other teams can and thats lottery draft pick talent even when there winning thanks to the nets picks.  Team happy contracts like AB, Crowder, IT and guys on young contracts like Smart and the #3 pick provides solid role players and depth.  I don’t see a better situation for him assuming he brings someone like Horford or Dwight Howard to play center with him.

Cut…… OKC essentially beat Themselves in Game 6……… OKC is Right There w/ Golden State…… emotions are High right now b/c everyone feels like OKC blew it……….

but OKC is neck & neck w/ Golden State…… Boston can’t even get out of the 1st round & No One they get in the Draft at #3 will change that this year or next…………

Boston is doing a nice Job w/ their Rebuild…… but the NBA Finals pit Super Stars against each other & Boston has Zero players at That level………….

No! I agree that OKC matches up with the Dubs well, however just this season along…OKC is 3-7 vs the Dubs. So OKC isn’t right there with them. Starting last night, all I’ve heard about OKC….is “if this” or “if that”…well they had 10 games just this season vs the Dubs to do the what “if’s” and they didn’t. You can’t reach the NBA Finals on “if’s”! With that, if I was KD, I would head over to Miami.

I agree that OKC isn’t right there with Golden State, but I don’t see any team, even with Durant, being right there with Golden State.  No team that Durant could realistically go to is better than OKC besides maybe San Antonio.

I’d be almost anything that Durant re-signs in OKC for at least one more year and then sees how it goes next season.

I think he ends up staying in OKC long-term, but in the very least, he’ll almost certainly stay one more year.

He should consider the Orlando Magic. They’re a young team and now they have a great head coach.

KD will sign a 1+1 max with a player option with OKC. Playing one more year, then hitting the market will allow him to sign to a higher max level contract awarded to 10+ year veterans. It will also put him on the same timeline as Russ and Ibaka. None of the potential suitors will put KD on a better team immediately, and he will have to face the Warriors one way or another. KD knows how much things can change with injury luck, and GS had just enough of it this year.

Even though they lost, I feel like OKC outplayed GSW majority of the series and sometimes just looked like the more dominant team.

I can’t see why KD would leave… The goal is a championship, but they just took apart a 67 win team and took a 73 win team to 7 games.

The fan support in OKC is crazy. I really like Donovan as a coach. I love their big rotation with Adams, Ibaka and Kanter. Other than a few passed up shots and poor fouls, I thought Roberson showed a lot of improvement and confidence.

This is an easy decision to me. Unless KD doesn’t like playing with Russ (which isn’t the case supposedly), he should re-sign in OKC.

KD isn’t going anywhere. At least not this summer. It’s not even about the money with him. He badly wants to bring a title to okc and has to give at least one more chance next year  with Westbrook considering how close they just came. He will sign the two year deal with the option to become a free agent again next summer. Than he will re-evaluate things next summer depending on how the season goes and what Westbrook decides to do. It makes the most sense basketball wise and financially.

Haters hate but be serious. Good team, good contracts, good picks and vets. Eastern conference. Makes sense and he will be in the finals by year two, because besides Cavs there is no threat at all.
