At this point Kris Dunn is too good to pass up, IMO. They’ve got depth at all 5 positions and with no 3 being worth a top 10 pick other than Brown, they just go BPA.

I know they just drafted Mudiay last year but I believe they draft Kris Dunn with the players left on the board.

For the third straight pick I’ll go with Dunn although he doesn’t make a lot sense system wise for Denver since they drafted mudiay. Who knows maybe they could learn to play together, they can both guard either backcourt spot defensively. But I view Dunn as the third best prospect in this draft and you have to pick him eventually.

Dunn is probably the BPA but doesn’t make sense here because they just drafted mudiay last year. They could go in a number of different directions here but I’m going to predict they go for the upside pick and take marquesse chriss. Even though chriss is still raw right now, he would have time to develop in Denver and they still have faried, jokic, nurkic and gallinari to play the bulk of frontcourt mins for the time being. Sabonis and ellenson could be possibilities as well.

I’d say they go with a high upside forward like Marquese Chriss at this point, there invested in Mudiay so I could see them trading the pick but if they keep it I’d be surprised to see it be a PG.

The Nuggets don’t really have any glaring positional needs or big-name free agents, so this is a great scenario for them. They can take the best player available, Kris Dunn, and send him to a team with a pressing need at PG. The Sixers reportedly have Noel and Okafor on the block. I would offer some combination of Dunn, another player or the 15th pick to Philly for Okafor and the 24th pick.

Or they could just opt to keep Dunn. Worst-case scenario, you have a major upgrade over Augustin, a possible 6th/7th man, and someone who will push Mudiay to get better.

My vote, once again, is Dunn.

Dunn for BPA pick, but if this happened then I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a trade at some point along the draft.

like people have said, they already have Mudiay as their future point guard. I would try to see what I can get for the pick and try to get Skal or Chriss a few picks later ( I don’t think Jokic is this teams future up front). Denver already has two other firsts this year, so they should try and get a pick next year or an intriguing young prospect. Maybe the Magic will give up Hezonga to trade up. But I’d vote Skal for now.

But they both struggle to shoot from outside and need to be the primary ball-handler to be most effective. Their games will not mesh well. They could still go with Dunn if they think he is just too good to pass up but they will probably end up trading one of them eventually if that happens to be the case.

I think denver goes bpa pf. with dunn and Hield taken in the actual….prob.Chriss or Ellenson in the actual…

I don’t for one second think Dunn lasts this long, and although Dunn would make Denver an outstanding defensive backcourt if he does fall to here, there is a strong posibility the Nuggets trade this pick and another team takes Dunn at 7 if that were the case.   trade down a spot for mcclemore from sac. who would not be able to pass up on Dunn.

So given the availablity of Dunn in this predraft game:

     I pick Dunn.

The problem is that Denver has depht in almost every position but not a potential francishe player

With Emmanuel Mudiay as their point guard of the future i don’t know who would their choice be but at this point, the draft can go anyway so i will take the BPA route and choose Kris Dunn

I believe in bpa , but that is always up in the air and definitely opinion based, if several players are in the same teir, then the player that fits should be the pick but if Dunn is in a teir of his own at this point in the draft then he definitely should be the pick.

If I were picking I’d probably go with Chriss.

Denver selects Kris Dunn and fields calls for his rights during the draft if this happens. I actually thought he made the most sense to Minnesota but he is too good to pass up at 7, so he is the pick here.

     Henry Ellenson.

Pretty crappy scenario for Denver here. I personally am a BPA supporter but considering they just spent a top 10 pick on a PG who also doesn’t shoot well, I think they go with one of the bigs available. Ellenson measured out with good size, enough to play some 5. He shows a lot of offensive promise..decent at attacking closeouts, good shot mechanics (even if results were underwhelming), and showed good rebounding ability. He can be a nice change of pace from Faried at the 4 spot, with the ability to play alongside Jokic or Nurkic, with stretch 5 potential down the line.

I really like Ellenson and think he is a perfect fit but Kris Dunn has game changer potential. Even if your starting Mudiay for 28mpg then using Dunn for the other 20 at PG then another 8 next to Mudiay you can’t pass up that kind of talent.

Yep I’d agree with the consensus on this one. He’s not a perfect fit, but I’d say the Nuggets would take Dunn if he’s available.

Basically, what others have said- he’d be a good pick either way. If they keep him, they can choose between him and Mudiay as their point guard moving forward. I also think they could play together if they buy in to sharing the ball AND if they play the tandem with floor spacing bigs (eg. Gallinari and Arthur’s shooting with Jokic’s passing and mid-range game).

If that’s not working, they have the option to trade either Mudiay or Dunn.

In this mock scenario, my pick is Dunn.

Playing two PG’s with that much inconsistency shooting could also help your draft position as well next year with some very good players available. Let them how to shoot and play together while locking up a Top 5 pick. No point in chasing a playoff birth because I would hate to be a road seed in the West next year.

And if it works immediately your a genius.

If I am following this draft to be exact: T-wolves trade Jamal Murray-(5th pick)

    For

Denvers 7th(we will assume its Kris Dunn) and 19th pick..

The reason both teams do it:  Denver does it to get a combo guard that can shoot and play pg for spurts vs a pg that is streaky and similar to Mudiay and then they have to take on one less contract and player to develop that they would have to worry about by including the 19th pick..

The reason the T-wolves do this trade the get a different style of Pg to rubio(more athletic and similar to past Thibs pgs) and they can fill another need in the 19th pick maybe a pf/sf for their bench…

of Chriss tbh. I got Ellenson here too.

Dunn might be BPA but drafting another PG might cause a bit of tension and uncertainty besides the obvious shooting issue.
