KingGeorgeParticipantNever liked Lebron’s jumper. Always felt his shooting mechanics were very stiff and rigid, on top of him having a rather slow release. However, I wouldn’t call his current jumper broken. If you look a footage of his jumper up until roughly 2009, you’d see what a broken jumper looks like lol. Flared elbows, inconsistent release point and a tendency to shoot on the way down, amongst other things. While his jumper is by no means perfect and will never be a strength in his game, it’s no longer the glaring weakness in his game that it was 7-8 years ago. He’s come A LONG way as a shooter since entering the league.

Hype MachineHis action is too side-on and needs to square his body similar to Kyries.
Also he needs a more fluid motion, his is very rigid and he pushes the ball through.
Also he leans back too much. The best shooters never lean back but jump straight up.
Plus in games its easy to telegraph when hes going to shoot. You can see it when he sets up his move and its easy to contest, plus his release is slow and low.
He has too much upper body muscle to really be a great shooter. Hardly any 40% guys are jacked like him.

ExumInfernoParticipantHe doesn’t need to worry, they have Frye, Love, Smith and Irving on the floor to finish games, so that is more than enough shooting. James, and his teams, play better when he attacks the basket anyway.
Obviously against Toronto in Game 6 his outside shot was great, but Ibaka/Durant/Roberson or Green/Iguodala/Barnes will probably be better than D Carroll who isn’t at his best after his injury. The Raptors were also in panic mode in Game 6 and didn’t cover any shooters very well.
James can shoot better than plenty of others, but not well enough to just rely on it. In the finals, expect the other team to pack the paint and cover other shooters and if James can beat them with outside shooting then the Cavs win.

nill650ParticipantThe OP must be a GSW fan. Who cares,if the team gets wins?
% down so what do you think? maybe just % is down, but I’m inclined to think he is MAKING his teamates work harder, thats what a leader does. If you don’t believe that, watch what happens when the game is on the line and there is no $ in them losing that game…or the game is an elimination game.
