Who should the Nets select at #55

 I think that Zizic, Gbinije and GP2 will all be gone be pick 55 but if one of them fell it would be a no brainer. One question I have is are the Nets going to draft a more NBA ready player to contribute or a raw, fully potential based player?

 Hmmm….I think they gotta go with someone who is ready to contribute straight away and can fill a spot as an 8th-12th man once the team is back on track. That player theoretically should develop nicely given the amount of minutes that should be available. 

They’re probably past the stage of being embarassed about that Garnett and Pierce Trade, so I don’t think losing a lot of games and giving up a high pick is no longer a problem for them. That being said, I think a high floor guy like Perry Ellis, Marcus Paige etc could also be a decent pick.

shawn long,damion lee,unuaku and niang to name a few.. ron baker might still be there..if anything he’ll replace plumlee as a fan favorite…rosco allen of standford has gotten some positive feed backs after his workouts.thats why he remained in draft…ty wallace is underrated..so is quarterman,they both could be there when nets make their choice..

 BPA would seem the logical choice and to guess who may be available then is just pure guesswork.

I wonder if the Nets might look to buy into the draft or even try to pull off a trade to get some picks in, Brook Lopez we know has decent trade value and Thad Young would be worth a first rounder I’d think.

If either of Finney-Smith, Uthoff or Daniel Hamilton are available it could be interesting. Kay Felder could still be on the board and may be worth a shot.

They’ll take a heady guy from a good program or grab which ever of the Europeans falls. The Alpha Kaba call above is a good one. It will not be a guy with a gas mask picture.

 Am I the only one who thinks Niang could be decent? By decent I mean: "well… he can play 20 mpg for a non-playoff team", which is a good return for a mid/late 2nd round pick.
