With the combine going on and private workouts as well, some players will see themselves gaining more interest while others might be getting exposed. Every draft has late risers and fallers. Who is or do you think will be rising? Who might be the player who surprises or even shocks everyone on draft night by going higher?

and of course what players drop from their original expectations?

as a Boston fan with currently 8 picks, I am definitely looking forward to opinions on this subject.

So if you have some gut feelings or insight, please fire away!!!!!!!!!

Some team will just salivate on his physical presence along with mobility to select him somewhere between 10-20 range.

i think sabonis falls,  I just feel he is overrated. I currently have him going 23 to boston although my mock is still very fluid.

I think Zhou Qi falls to the 40’s for everyone who is jumping on his train. I mean he is just so weak you cant possibly put him on an nba court for a few years. I suppose he could go in the first to a team that wants to draft and stash.

Stephen zimmerman i think goes late second round instead of late first/early second like a lot of people think. I watched him play a couple times this past season and im not sure what he does that has people excited.

I think some high risers will be chieck diallo, thon maker and dejounte murray. i think all 3 go in that 15-20 range although i know many people already have them there so you may not consider that as high rising.

As a fan of Thon Maker (or his potential) I am hoping his stock doesn’t go up so high that he gets drafted before Boston’s other 1st rd picks. Should be fun to watch.

Mark my words, ainge will screw up draft by doing something stupid like last year.  Remember.. He could have drafted portis first, hunter next, and then rozier.  While he is great at accumulating picks, he has not drafted well… Ala bill bellichek

Another guy shooting up draft boards is Kay Felder. His measurements athleticism and game compare perfectly to Isaiah Thomas and with experts suggesting Ulis should be drafted 1st round the door has opened for Kay.

I was a bit surprised when he got a combine invite but the fact that he outplayed his peers there and is now getting calls from everybody for workouts shows he will likely get drafted and will definitely light up summer league and be invited to training camp for someone.

I don’t know if his stock is up or not, but a kid who I watched in High School and a bit in college is Isiah Whitehead. He is staying in the draft after some good workouts. Compares to lance Stephenson I guess, similar Ht and from the same HS (Lincoln) could go anywhere from late first to not drafted.

Will be very curious to see his outcome.

Bender stock is getting down, people starting understand that he’s not worth to risk top 5 pick on him, and no way he is getting draft over productive guard like Hield, Murray and Dunn, at highest could go 6…

Thon Maker: Stock up – Jazz play-by-play guy who was at Makers workout today said that they should draft Maker at #12. Stock up…but my bet is that he doesn’t make it past 10.

Brandon Ingram – Stock down – Is it possible that Brandon Ingram’s stock is down? Hasn’t been much hype from his workouts and maybe the Lakers are considering other options?

Kris Dunn – Stock up. Rumors are that Philly really wants him and are desperate to get that #3 pick from Boston. Rumors of a good PG class next season (Smith, Fox, Ball, Tatum, McDowell-White) etc, so I doubt Philly will push too hard to get it.

the one thing about Ingram and the Lakers is that they really need a SF. The next best players are either a 18 year old PF and PG/SGs which they don’t need as much. So stock up or down I would be surprised if Ingram doesn’t go 2nd

Is Jaylen Brown back on the rise? it seems like pre-2015-16 season JB was a very possible top 3 pick, but by seasons end most had him slipping to later in the lottery. But after some good workouts there is talk he is back on the rise.

    Thoughts on him?

    Anyone else rising up?

I’m shifting Ben Simmons to #2 on my mock until such time that he decides to stop avoiding Philly (and any media who might want to ask why hes avoiding the topic of going to Philly)

Find me a ‘report’ that isnt pure speculation and I’ll consider changing my tune but considering Simmons and the 76ers are completely closed shops, they’re just rumors and nothing more

I was reluctant at first…but since Woj knows every draft pick before it happens and his site has Ingram #1….I’m bumping Simmons to #2. Woj is the best scoop man in the business.

The other possibility is a draft night trade involving Simmons and the Lakers.

Not saying anything you said can’t or won’t happen, but I would be very surprised if it happened. I just can’t see the Sixers not drafting Simmons and keeping him.

It seems crazy to me too but the guy just doesnt want to go there and the 76ers have another excellent choice available.

They could probably flip him into Ingram + Clarkson if they play their cards right.

That beats a disgruntled Simmons in my opinion.

Nope. He never dropped. Just a few people saw him play in the tournament for the first time where he played amongst his worst games and decided he isn’t a good player. They made compelling argument saying he has a low ball iq (actually one of the smartest people in the draft) and lack of passion which is also not true, hes a ball junkie and a gym rat as you can see from his developed body. No way he slips past 8. He’s gone 3-8. Boston, Phoenix, New Orleans, Denver and Sacramento would all love to have him and will very strongly consider adding him.

He had an amazing workout in Boston and I wouldn’t be surprised if they took him if keeping the pick.

Papagiannis with a big rise to his stock after the jump he did the past year in his game, ending as the starting center of Panathinikos over some big names, I’m hearing that no way now he’s not a first round pick and even flirt with the lottery…
