kerrstParticipantAs a Raptors fan I am really hoping they draft a PF for the future as I feel they have developing young players at every other position – PG Delon Wright, SG Norman Powell, SF Bruno Caboclo, C Lucas Noguiera. With that being said and PF being a need I am wondering who ppl think would be the best fit for the Raptors at #9?
Ellenson, Chriss, Davis, Sabonis, Johnson or even Skal and Maker if they can play the 4.
Also if they go big with pick 9, what other area should they address with pick #27. Obviously BPA is lways be the best choice for either pick but I am interested in specifics.

mamadouParticipantWe’ll need to know what they’re planning to do with Derozan and biz.
If biz is gone, Poeltl and Davis are targeted.
As of today i give you Luwawu and Diallo…
A 2nd Demarre Carroll with the 27th pick ?
A C and a PF, a big and a swingman, BPA and a gamble with the late 1st.

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantUjiri has drafted out side of the box in past drafts. Don’t be surprised if it’s another head scratcher.

elliotmcadooParticipantYea I agree with my man above.. I believe the need an athletic Power Forward with some touch to clear more space for Jonas and the drivin guards. I could see Skal being picked here for some reason lol maybe Henry E. He can run the floor has range out to the 3pt line and the kid doesn’t look soft on defense.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantI would probably look at Jaylen Brown or Domatas Sabonis if they’re both still available…
Brown could fillthe potential void left by Derezon departing in the Summer, if you have a good read on DD and feel like he’ll stay put, go after a PF like Sabonis to pair up with Jonas

BallerScriptParticipantYoung, athletic PF with a shot? I say go for Marquese Chriss out of Washington!

HitsterParticipantI agree that the Bulls biggest need is a PF unless they consider an SG in case DeRozan bolts via FA.
Saboinis is from blue chip basketball stock and the team have drafted many Euros before so he’d be a logical choice, Davis, Skal and Chriss all make cases as decent fits too.
Poeltl could be an option if Coach Casey could run a twin towers unit with Jonas too.
If Jaylen Brown was still on board when they drafted then I could see them taking him especially if Sabonis had gone.
Korkmaz has great size for an SG and whilst he may be a reach I think Toronto would do their due diligence on him.

ZachAttackParticipantyes… but we are talking about Raptors needs but it’s cool how confident you are with Derozan going to the Bulls, how are he and Jimmy Butler gonna play together? 😉

TravelinTravParticipantI would go with Thon Maker, maybe he won’t ever turn into anything but he might become a top talent. He reminds me a lot of KG prior to the 95 draft. Someone will roll the dice on Maker and an already good team like the raptors could be a good spot to land.

bmac697ParticipantThat’s exactly who I’d pick. So much potential and to be honest raptors prolly won’t have a pick this high again so why not take the gamble.

OhCanada-ParticipantI was thinking the same thing but because of the large contract Ujiri gave to Ross the Raps may lose a top 5 contributor to the teams success Bismack Biyambo. If they lose him they will need to draft someone that can step in and play immediately.

kobyzParticipantIt’ll be a big man at 9 looking at the things otherwise it will be a reach… no point in drafting jakob who is a jonas clone, and also not sabonis who is low post scorer, it’s between chriss and davis, davis is if they think biyombo can’t be kept… If they keep biyombo it will be chriss who is versityle big that could devolp into patterson upgrade, like a young robert horry…

Troache1ParticipantThis kid has a ton of potential. He showed it in flashes this year at Michigan St, and Tom Izzo raved about his upside. I think in the right system with playing time, he could develop into an elite PF. But Masai will draft a head scratcher. Bascially if he drafts a SG/SF, we know Demar is essentially gone.
