He kind of reminds me of Winslow with a better shot, even though Winslow shot better from three in college. Malik has better shot mechanics and may not be as good a defender but he’s still pretty good.

I wouldnt say Winslow, Winslow is a thicker bodied ball player who does a lot of things Malik cant..

Maliks Fg% dropped crazy towards the end of the season, showing a lot of  inconsistency in his offense.. He reminds me a bit of Larry Hughes, both in body frame and how they approach the game

Larry Hughes. The St. Louis product was one of my favorite players growing up. When he went to Golden State I thought he was going to develop into an all-star. Then injuries plagued his game and he settled into being a role player. He was never a knockdown shooter and one could argue he was amongst the most inconsistent shooters the game has ever seen. Just when you thought he figured out how to shoot he misses his next 10 shots. I think its a good comparison but with further explanation.

Beasley will never be the defender Hughes was. Larry was really a stellar defender that could lockdown stars.

Beasley is and always will be a better shooter than Hughes was. Spacing in the NBA will only help this.

Beasley has the same upside Hughes had before injuries plagued his career. Hughes still had the upside but you can’t build around an injury plagued player therefore even Iif he was skilled enough to drop 20-5-5 you couldnt invest your teams money expecting consistent production from a guy that averages 50-60 games a year. So his ceiling became that of a starting rotation player. Beasley’s ceiling is higher than that.

My personal scouting from full games i saw since last april, he’s fast, freak athlete, he can shoot and he can defend, impressed in the jordan brand classic, he was defending in an exhibition game LOL(+16 pts in 19 mins).

I have no nba comp for him at the moment, but i like this kid and his skill set, strictly SG, 3 and D, fast and athletic, he can rebound, good fundation to build on.

Good player off the ball as a shooter or cutter(very underrated part of the game, IMO), great on the open floor.

If/when he’ll improve his on ball game, ball handling, strength(drive-FTA), creating his own shot, that’s a legit starting nba 2 way guard.

Pretty big range, from 9 to 22, Chicago-Memphis-Atlanta-Indiana are probably the best fits for him.

A player tailor made for the thunder and their actual personnel, Roberson with 4 pts in 5 games against the spurs, yeah.
