so, who will rise/drop more in draft day? who will be the biggest surprise?

of course the mock’s reference to quantify that leap has to be the one in this site..

    here mines..

    .rise: timothe luwawu

this guy is playing really good basketball and putting very good stats in a more than decent pro league..he’s got the whole package..great size for a SG/SF (6’7), he’s long (7’2 wingspan), athletic, fast, very fluid, great mobility/coordination, he can shoot, drive, pass, play defense..he only needs to improve his shoot selection and take more care of the ball but that’s normal as he is only 20..

in this site he’s listed nº32 in the mock draft but i think he could jump all the way to the lottery..

    .drop: dejounte murray

no doubt he is very talented but in a league where PG is the toughest position i’m not sure teams will use a high pick to select a player with some many questions in his game..is he a true PG? can he run efficiently a team’s offense? what about his frame at only 170lbs, can he finish at next level? can he shoot consistently cause he only shot 41% in college..in addition to +3 TO..

i think tony wroten’s shadow might be too long..

in this site he’s listed nº13 but i think he could drop easily 10 spots..

I think dejounte murray will be the highest riser once team workouts begin.  Teams will see his ability to score from the 2 spot.  He will be a project at the point be he has more upside than most players in this draft. That will be the same time that Jamal Murray’s stock plummets, once teams realize he is too slow and can’t run point.(6’4 Kyle Korver)

Dejounte has to jump up, I agree. Not based on the combine or workouts, but because GM’s never had him this low on their lists. However, I do see Jamal Murray going from 4th-6th. I could see Bender dropping because people think they might as well get Skai, a similar talent. I think Skai might be this year’s Myles Turner: highly hyped high schooler who underperformed in college, but made some adjustments his first year, and now looks very promising. I think if LeVert looks healthy, his stock remains or even goes up. If he’s not healthy, he plummets.

As everyone else mentioned, Maker is the big wild card. I think he could go anywhere from 5th to 16th. 5th is very unlikely unless he kills it in workouts and someone is willing to put a boatload of time into his development. But 16th… by then the Nuggets, Celtics, and Suns will have picked twice and someone has to take a chance on him. Workouts will determine everything for him. At worst, a high energy rebounder, hard worker, reasonable rim protector, and acceptable jump shooting center is worth the 16th pick for sure.

Just a bad scouting report on Jamal; he plays nothing like korver. The guy averaged 20 a game on a top program in the country as a FRESHMAN; korver can only dream he could create his own shot like Jamal can. I think he is the next CJ McCollum type player

Highest Riser in comparison to this nbadraft.net mock is probably Thon Maker… I just can’t imagine that many teams passing up on who could be the third best player in this draft. He is a high risk VERY high Reward guy and in a draft as "weak" as this one… I think that he could easily be a lottery pick and maybe even top 5.

Biggest Faller would be Caris Levert. This mock has him at 17 but with all his red flags I wouldn’t be surprised if he was picked between 40 and 45. He’s another player that is high risk high reward, but the risk may be too much with his leg injury. And he’s a senior so, I’d be surprised if he was picked just outside the lottery.

Yep, maker has to be a gamble 2nd pick for the suns, nuggz, celts(13-16) IMO.

Huge fan of Levert, but he’s a 2nd rounder because of his 3 years of injuries, you ain’t giving him guaranteed money, i have him to the bucks, after Redd(43) and my men Middleton(39), 3rd steal, plus he’s a perfect fit(if healthy), they could end with jones and levert at 36-38, great value(team need).

Luwawu at 32 is the joke of the year, he could easily end in the raptors-bulls lottery range.

      Brice Johnson at 15, i think he’s more a 25-35.

Some risers are Barber, Whiteside, Lawson, Prince and my personal favorite sleeper Dorian Finney-Smith.

Some guys that may see their stock plummet and even maybe risking going undrafted are Damian Jones, Newman, Diallo, Zimmerman, Richardson and apparently Korkmaz stock is dropping.

Some guys that could see there stock go either way are Labissiere, Maker, Chriss, Davis, and Beasley.

Thon Maker I think is the real wildcard so I agree with the guys above, I know he is raw but a lot will depend on his workouts and it only needs one GM to like him. Look at DeAndre Jordan who slipped to 35th in his draft year but is now a $20 million a year player who has made All NBA Teams. Kawhi Leonard was another guy who fell down the draft for no real reason and is now a top 10 or better NBA player.

Regarding Thon I look at Denver and Celtics with several mid to later first round picks and could see them using one of them on him. Also I would keep a close eye on the Spurs regarding Thon as they could be the sort of team to look to swoop him if he got to within their draft range or they could engineer a trade to move up for him.

Could Chinese C Zhou Qi be another guy who could go a fair bit higher or maybe be undrafted too.
