Prior to Big Cuz Draft I was adamant he was the most talented player but I would not touch him. We get he liked Malone but that changes nothing. Is he ever going to grow up or will he always be numbers guy on bum teams?

I wouldn’t classify him as a numbers guy per say, because regardless of his attitude, Boogie can play. And the woes The Kings face aren’t because of him. He’s not a black hole. If he had people to pass it to, I believe he would. The Kings just stink.
Now, do I think his attitude will change? If he starts winning and contending, yea. Winning heals all with these guys. EVERYTHING is good when you’re winning. He may still be a bit of an overtly emotional guy, bug he’d be a happy emotional guy lol. Ever since Kentucky, I’ve never been a fan of his attitude. It always rubbed me the wrong way. It wasn’t until he did a few interviews that I got a better read on him. I believe he could benefit from being on a team with a proven leader who won’t take the pouting or the fits. Whether it’s a coach or a player, time will only tell.
He’s had some run ins, but I wouldn’t call him a cancer. He’s on a team with Rajon Rondo and Rudy Gay so I’m pretty sure he’s not the only one there with an attitude problem. He’s probably the only one who deserves to have one in Sacramento right about now.

  A change of scenery could be huge for him if it’s to a contending team with strong leadership from the PG and coach where he has no choice but to respeck it…look what the move to Detroit did for Rasheed Wallace, I could definitely see the same happening for Boogie’s career if he gets out of SAC.

Cousins loves winning is he’s an unforgiving sore loser. His issues are magnified, because he hasn’t been on a playoff team his entire career and is tired of losing. Cousins needs stability and the Kings franchise does not provide that. They have a losing culture and need a miracle. Nobody wants to play in Sacramento unless they’re desperate for a job or put money over winning. The Kings franchise is the cancer

There were rumors that George Karl went behind managements back very early in his tenure making calls to see what cousins trade value was, that’s why cousins called him a snake in the grass. I’m not defending cousins’ actions, but for anyone calling him a coach killer, Karl played a role in their not seeing eye to eye.
As for cousins on the court attitude, he does look like a poor leader. I don’t mind the anger and passion when guys are screwing up, but the sulking and bad body language when he’s not happy looks bad.
Fortunately for kings fans, cousins has to know how he’s perceived and he has already won out over one coach, so hopefully he knows that it’s time to step up and if he keeps butting heads with coaches and not winning games, he becomes the common denominator in it all and people will turn on him.

  Bs you would gladly accept a guaranteed 5 assist and 3 open threes a game. Thats close to 10 & 5, which are high quality first-guard-off the bench numbers. Your agent could easily command 5-7 mil per year. So yea shut up and practice your entry passes.

    HOW DARE YOU classify me as a backup, I’ll have you know while I can’t guard a chair, I do try on defense and that I’m a very streaky shooter but a willing passer. My agent scoffs at your $5-7 million per yr, in this market with super dumb teams I could get close to double that. And yes I will go practice my entry passes, I also hear the Thunder are looking for a guard who can pass the ball in bounds….I am avilable this offseason.

There is a reason the Kings were able to draft Cousins. They were a horrible team. Since he’s been there he went from one terrible ownership group to a new one, countless coaches, and teammates. The current GM was put in place with no front office experience. The whole thing is dysfunctional. The Kings were bad before him, they are bad with him, and they are guaranteed to be terrible without him unless they trade him.
It’s a bad situation that has been made worse. The one time things were looking up, they fire the coach. The next full time coach isn’t interested in coaching the team’s best player. That’s fine, if everyone is on board with getting rid of that guy. Both sides need to move on.
