Nba Court Rankings

 So about a week ago i did the Nba commentator/announcer rankings for each team and so now ive decided to try my hand at ranking the Nba courts from worst to best (just keep in mind that this is totally my subjective opinion)

and also alternate courts for different uniforms/ nights don’t count (even though the majority look sweet)

30. Clippers- That giant logo right at midcourt, Ugh

29. Rockets- It just looks like a bunch of red lines thrown randomly on some wood and someones put a rockets logo on there somewhere.

28. Grizzlies- Nothing is very appealing about this court It almost seems as if it’s just there, very reflective of the grizzlies team (SHADE THROWN)

27. Nuggets- They went overboard with the weird watermark/ pattern kinda thing if they got rid of the pickaxes and kept the mountains it would be a good look.

26. Hornets- Many seem to love the hexagonal pattern of the new court but i just can’t seem to like it no matter how hard i try.

25. Pelicans- Same thing here as with denver, if they had limited the pelicans on both arcs then this would look a little bit better.

24. Pacers- I don’t like the look of the centre logo however i do like the light wood.

23. Thunder- A very basic design but it doesnt carry the nostalgia to let it get away with this (celtics, lakers etc). However as stated about indiana i do like the nice soft feel from the light blue and the loght wood

22. Kings- If the purple could be darkened just a portion then this could be in the top 10. (As a sidenote that powder blue court with their retro uniform has to be my favourite in the whole league this season).

21. Pistons- I like the midcourt logo but something about the colours on the baseline just seem off to me i dont know what it is.

20. Mavericks- Their current court doesnt have too much good or bad going on but i like the fan concepts that have been made.

19. 76ers- Its nearly a copy of the pistons court but for whatever reason it seems to work better.

18. Bulls- ok so this is where im going to cop a lot of flak but for me the fact that they have 5 relatively large bull head logos on the court is way too much overkill.

17. Jazz- I love the colour scheme but just a hint more yellow accents wouldve made the whole thing even better.

16. Timberwolves- I really like the dual tone of the wood but the logos are just not a good mix (they need a rebranding in my opinion)

15. Wizards- the darker blue and red separates this from the 76ers and the pistons in terms of looking alike and the big Dc logo at midcourt reminds you where exactly you are.

14. Knicks- Its like a really badly designed Nike shoe i dont like the colour of the baseline but the MSG tag is on there as if it was a bad colour but theres that nike swoosh so everyone will still be getting it.

13. Spurs- This is where it’s beginning to get tough separating these courts as theyre all so great so many of these are interchangeable. The black and silver for whatever reason just works with this court.

12. Magic- Great look with the black surronding the clean blue and white of the logo and free throw line.

11. Bucks- Works perfectly as they basically copied the home jersey and made it into a floor.

10. Nets- The wave like pattern and the tone of the wood mixed with the tiled baselines works perfectly with each other.

9. Trail Blazers- The red of the paint area and the black that encompases the court tie in everything into the central logo.

8. Warriors- Now if this was best arenas then the dubs would win this no contest. Their court is amzingly clean with that yellow/gold surronding the whole thing with the light wood mixed in with the blue logo.

7. Cavaliers- Theres so many things going on here that it just shouldnt work with each other but against all odds everything fits together and creates different layers with the gold as the accent for the wine and royal blue.

6. Hawks- I love the new era look and the logo combined with all the bright colours seem to pop off each other.

5. Raptors- The midcourt logo is basically everything thats right with this court and it seems to bring a more badass feel to the raptors removed from a cartoon dinosaur and a claw handprint.

4. Suns- Bringing back the old school rising sun logo mixed with the black and orange is a definite hit as it combines new and old.

3. Heat- This court is just amazing with everything working right i wouldnt be upset if they keep it this way forever like what the celtics are doing.

2. Lakers- The stars around the most famous logo in basketball are perfect for it and the classic purple and gold colour scheme works absolute magic.

1. Celtics- This court needs no words but im going to anyway. The parquette flooring should have been left way back in the 80’s and 90’s but it has remained a hit for the celtics team who are combining old and new with the new TD garden logos on the baseline.

Tell me if you guys agree with my list and what you dont agree with and if this gets enough support i might start making this a weekly thing (ranking jerseys logos etc)
