Brandon Bass

I think he is such a big body and great down low scorer that the magic should start him but we can forget about ryan anderson’s great play so this summer. he could compete for the job. Plus lewis would benefit from playing the 3… his natural position.

This is a decent lineup, but what are the Magic going to do when Dwight Howard gets into foul trouble. Gortat and Tony Battie are no longer there and there is no other true center on the entire roster. True, playing small ball may benefit them against teams without a post presence(and they are a great three point shooting team) but against the Cavs, Shaq will have no one who will be able to guard him and Lebron can just waltz into the paint and not have to worry about his shot being blocked by Howard. The Magic need to sign a backup center because Howard does get into foul trouble a lot…

BIG MOVE!!!! Adding Bass gives you a solid player who can rebound and defend off the bench. Now you just need another wing player (Jerry Stackhouse) off the bench

i think if it meant winning a championship, aka-with bass-another PF and post deal.. and anderson-step up from battie…that orlando would go ahead and match gortat and go under the cap pretty far

nope no way they match for Gortat…he will be playing in Dallas

he is a good pick up, but he will come off the bench. For all the people saying he should start, if the magic had carter and lewis at the 2 and 3 spots, they would form arguably the worst defensive perimter in the league. Pietrus needs to start to gaurd the other teams best wing player. Let’s not act like Bass is some great player who must start.
