XavierAllTheWayParticipantOh Lord I hope most recent mock will not be how Celtics use their picks. Buddy hield is a nice player but #3 is way too high and why waste a draft pick on Brice Johnson at 16 when they have Jordan Mickey waiting for an opportunity.

HitsterParticipantThe draft lottery could shake things up, Aran and co draw their mocks up based on how they rate the players or once the workouts start on strong rumours they here. The official current mocks on this site aren’t really team needs based as such.
I wouldn’t worry too much about the Celtics, I’d back Danny Ainge, Brad Stevens and co to do their due diligence and make some sound choices either by drafting or possible via trades.

ChewyParticipantThe coach that will be able to use Denzel Valentine the best is Brad Stevens? He has a history of using strong undersized players in successful ways. I think BOS should grab him with a later first rd (obviously not at 3).

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantI believe so too; he could thrive in the same role Evan turner has on that team, and he has a good three point shot

ballislyfe25ParticipantMaybe 3 would be a reaching a bit but Jakob Poeltl is definitely worth a look in the top 5. He’s really the only guy on the board that would fit right in with the Celtics current roster but he may turn out better than the players ahead of him, aside from Simmons and Ingram.

HitsterParticipantThe Celtics are in a fantastic postion, a young solid play off team with falsely high picks, this didn’t quite convert for Chicago in 2006 and 2007 when they were in a similar position. This was mainly because Kevin Pritchard convinced Chicago to that Victor Khryapa and Tyrus Thomas for LMA in 2006. The Bulls added Noah in 2007 who has is still on the roster.
Ainge has so many options and even if they don’t move up in the draft, I think he’ll draft who he feels is the best fit and then chase a top star in FA season. He might then flip who he drafted for an established player if he thinks the team could benefit more.

phila9012ParticipantIf they get a top 5 pick, I think they should try to trade it and another first round pick for cousins. Also the kings should hit the reset button and rebuild the right way. They are close to their potential and at best they are an 8 seed in the next 2 or 3 years. Cousins can play in a succesful environment and be the star of a play off contending team. He would also go to a stable franchise.
