     So it seems as though the Houston Rockets hold the tie breaker over the Utah Jazz for the last playoff spot in the West. I can’t figure out exactly why that is. Unless I’m misreading their season series they played 4 times and each team won 2 games. Does anyone know why the Rockets have a tie-breaker over the Jazz?

     Rockets have a better conference record against the Jazz. Rockets are 27-24 against the West while the Jazz are only 24-27 against the West. The only way Jazz gets the 8th seed is that they win against the Lakers and the Rockets lose to the Kings.

      Thanks. I didn’t know what the second tie breaker was when the season series was tied.

         Your Welcome, don’t worry I didn’t know it at first either. I just read it at NBA.com. There are actually 7 criterias if there is a tiebreaker between two teams. The one I posted is the 4th criteria.

     I’m conflicted here. I want the Rockets to get the last playoff spot as I think the hate for Houston along with the hype for Utah is unprecedented but I also need Sacramento to win so the Raptors get a higher pick. Since there’s alot of Jazz fans on this forum I guess I’ll route for the Jazz but you guys gotta cheer for the Raptors come playoff time!

     I just became the biggest Kings fan after last night… Curry’s gonna lead the way… Only problem is, wrong Curry 🙁
