Him and Legerald Vick on the wings!!! Sheesh.. Good choice for him. I think he saw what Oubre, Wiggins and Mclemore did as one and dones and how many shots they got and that swayed him. Good choice

Bill Self really likes to challenge his freshman with playing time. We will see how good he really is.

You must have just posted this 2 minutes ago. (lol) I looked on here about 5 minutes ago to see if someone said where he decided to sign and then went to ESPN and they had it as a tweet, but not formally posted on the site. I raced (lol) back over here at the speed of light to make my first official INSIDE SCOOP article, but was about 80 seconds too late. (lol)

It’s a good place for him to go and contend for a title, but he’ll have to have to earn his minutes and starting position. They have a proven point and two guard in Mason and Graham who had them ranked number 1 overall going to the tournament and the international kid has been a big prospect for years, so he has work ahead of him. Trust me, they aren’t just going to pass him the ball unless he does something with it. That’s how it is with vets. But he’s the most talented player on the team. With the frontcourt that they have, they are in consideration for preseason number 1.

I know this is slightly off topic for the thread subject, but what has the foreign kid, Svi, actually done to make himself an NBA prospect? I see the size and he has a reputation as a shooter but what has he done on the court? I’m not trying dismiss him as a prospect, but I’m honestly just curious. Usually big men are the guys that stay on draft radars for their potential, but not guards or wings.

He has been dominating practice this entire year, but it hasn’t translated into games. I think he has confidence issues and dealing with the big stage. If he can develop some maturity, he will be a legit NBA player.

FYI, He can’t guard anyone. He is terrible defensively and all that height and wingspan don’t go to use at all on that side of the ball.

Yeah Svi hasn’t done anything in games, but they still rave about his ability. You never know when a prospect “GETS IT” and it changes all around in one season. A lot never do. I thought Seldon was a big time athlete with talent but he didn’t look like that his first two years. I didn’t understand because I thought his strength was his leaping ability, strength and ability to get to the rim, but he’d just shoot jumpers.

His performance got so bad that people started exaggerating and saying that one of his weaknesses was his athleticism.
I couldn’t never say that unless he had some kind of horrible injury or something which he didn’t. He came on this year, but I think if he stayed another year he’d be even more dominant and have that confidence to use that strength and athleticism to go to the whole more.

With Svi, we’ll just have to see. He’s not better than Josh though. Nobody on that team is, but they have proven vets so it will be a process. I don’t know Svi’s role right now, but I’d like to see him as a top 7 in the rotation and getting opportunity to shine.

Great situation for Jackson to go to a team that returns a to be senior PG in Frank Mason with a bunch of wings and off gaurds with Svi, Devonte’ Graham, and Vick, then you add Carlton Bragg down low as a sophomore. Absolutely no reason they shouldn’t win the Big 12 again

is going to take a huge drop in talent next year. WVU is losing Williams who rebounded like 40% of his teams total rebs alone. OU is losing Hield, Cousins and Spangler. All they have is Woodard, James and maybe Grandstaff can earn some PT after the semester break. Baylor lost Prince. ISU lost Niang and pretty much everyone who matters. Dixon just got to TCU. He will need a few years to build them up. TT and Texas look pretty good, but nowhere near KU’s level.

KU should walk through the B12 next year.

I always chuckle at the people who rip on Bill Self for "ruining" 5-star players.

Can’t really see Cliff Alexander going anywhere and being a 5-star player, same with Diallo, same with Selby.

Kansas is the clear No. 3 team in the country going into the preseason I assume now. Not a fan of Mason but he’s okay. Graham is solid. Jackson is a difference maker. Bragg should be better. They’ll probably land a grad transfer or something as well. Yeah they’ll be really good.

This was the best fit for Josh and I’m glad he picked Kansas. He will slide in at the 3 and will rarely have to handle the ball with Frank Mason the boneified lead guard and devontae Graham emerging into one of the best all around guards in the country. This will allow him to do what he does best defend and score similar to his early comparison Andrew Wiggins. Arizona would have been an exciting pick with kobi Simmons and Allonzo Trier in the backcourt but he chose the certainty of billself wing heavy offense rather than the Iso style of the Arizona guards albeit talented.
