valentine…in knowing when it’s time to leave for another job and buy a few years of safety because you’re close to being fired from your current one. Frank Haith, Kevin Stallings, and Josh Pastner have it figured out.

Memphis MadnessParticipantJosh Pastner. Wow. A few more mediocre years like the last two and he will be coaching at Duke.
Most of Memphis is really happy that Pastner left.
Now it depends on who we get to replace him. For my money I would go with Penny Hardaway. He UNDERSTANDS Tiger Basketball, how much basketball means in Memphis, and he would help reestablish the brand. He doesn’t have any coaching experience on the NBA level — but he has done well at the high school level here in town. He is MY pick.
Well, I went to the John Calipari press conference and the Pastner press conference. I will be at the next one, too. Hopefully it is a GREAT hire.
Some people wanna take a run at Gregg Marshall. If not, I agree with one local radio guy that we should go after Penny. His overall resume and local ties speak for itself.

Robb_CParticipantHire Steve Massiello From Manhattan, they had a down year this year but he would be a perfect fit at Memphis.. His Teams are extremely tough defensive teams, He recruits extremely well and was Pitinos right hand man in building the Louisville Program..

losnopesosParticipantI facepalmed whenever Steve Massiello had that great run to get into the tourney, he got another job offer, excepted it, and then they found out he lied on his resume and he never graduated college. He was on mopup duty for UK back in the Pitino days, so he knows what greatness is.
