Flameres15ParticipantWhile we talk about how Stephen Curry is revolutionizing the game of basketball, Giannis is breaking down every barrier in the game!

evangelion79ParticipantHe’s impressive yes. But you’re exaggerating quite a bit.

CDPHParticipantYeah he’s been good, but the Bucks are still just 4-6 over their last 10 and that’s including a 2-game win streak.

OhCanada-ParticipantThe Bucks colour commentary call him a 6’11 Russell Westbrook. Yah right! Try again guys.

NBAjunkie81ParticipantIt’s hard to blame anyone in Milwaukee for going a little over board on the Greek Freak….. The Greek & Jabari Parker are a nice young core……
& the Bucks have a good chance at getting one of the top players in the Lottery……
But yea I agree, putting the Greek in Westbrook’s category is a little premature to put it mildly……..

machu46ParticipantI don’t think they’re saying he’s on Westbrook’s level. They describe him that way because he plays the game in a similar way where he’s relentlessly attacking even when he shouldn’t.
And the two of them are racking up triple-doubles left and right too so that also makes it an easy comparison to make.

Hype MachineI’d say theyre tinkering/experimenting as opposed to revolutionising.
Nothing short of being a top 3 PG, or leading the Bucks to a great record will ‘revolutionise’ it.
In the meantime, full points for trying something new….

cjwParticipantAnd the guy is still only 21 so he very well could revolutionize the game in a few years.

Hype MachineI’m watching the Bucks game now and it’s pretty clear what Kidd’s message to the team is.
Give the ball to Antetokoumpo or Parker, and get out the way!

HitsterParticipantAs said above the Greek Freak is still only 21 years old, he’s not got a 3 point range yet either so if he continues to improve at his current level then he could be a really scary player in a few years time. Also PG’s can often not reach their peak until later than other players.
I’m a huge Giannis fan and I know we give him a lot of love on here and maybe overhype him a bit.But a lot of this is down to his potential and when he hits triple doubles etc.
