D HampParticipantArtest and Kobe is an NFL version of have to lock down corner backs. Your shooting guard and swing man are automatically take out the game. Oh boy, say what you want about either, whenever they want to shut somebody down they will. HA HA HA.
Rasheed is getting old and doesn’t have the attitude/swagger he used to.
Dhamp…the greatest basketball mind in the world. Next to Hubie Brown anyway.

BasketballGuru24ParticipantRon Ron has That Kobe attitude……They Both Want To Win!……..He Is Valuable To The Lakers Since They Need Someone To Give Kobe A Break Sometimes. Sheed is Not Even That Important, They Added him For Depth…….nothing was really Wrong With There Team, But They Knew If they Had A chance Of Winning Another Championship…..So Ron Is More Important to the lakers than sheed is to the celtics….

llperezBut Wallace has dropped off in recent seasons despite playing on a perenial title contender. I’m not sure why his game would pick up now at his age and seeing as how he has been playing for titles the last 10 years. Ron on the other hand is hungry and has never been close to a title. He is younger and will bust his ass to get that ring this year. He will take pressure off of Kobe at the defensive end where he can gaurd the other teams best scorer.

llperezhow did sheed have nothing to play for? they were in the confrence finals 2 years ago and this last year he was on a playoff team in a contract year and he did’nt bring it. I think he will be a good fit, but I don’t see him playing any better because he left detroit.

MattissickParticipantThese were both Huge. Jefferson was huge too though. I think Artest and Sheed are about the same. Kobe and Artest can lock down the opposing wings now, but KG Sheed and Perkins are all good post defenders so It will be great to watch next year. Shaq was the biggest pickup of all though

Stanford hoopsParticipantthat makes it alot easier then ricky if a player is gonna give up because he thinks he had nothing to play for( which is not tru by the way..rasheed plays hard reguardless)..he just dropped off …happens to every player eventually

maravich44ParticipantArtest is the much better player at this stage of their careers ansd will have a much greater impact on Lakers than Wallace will have on Celtics.
