llperezjust got done watching Oregon dismantle duke and wanted to give a shout out to one of this sites OG members, top contributors and biggest Oregon duck fans we have, Michael visenberg.
With every pac 12 team done im pulling for you guys, this team is legit. Dillon brooks needs to start getting on some mock drafts, he is the teams best player as 6-7 sf.
Also what was up with grayson allen after the final horn and brooks went to show him love and give him a hug and allen turned his head away and shoved him in the chest to get away??? What a prick.

akhan786ParticipantThe lengths people will go to to paint Grayson Allen in a bad light… You get dismantled in an NCAA game and right after a guy celebrates hitting a three in a blowout he comes up and tries to hug you?
Yeah he could have reciprocated, but I don’t blame him. Did it deserve multiple slo motion replays? And he did shake hands in the line…
Ridiculous.

llperezLol at defending Allen here as if people have had to go out of their way to make him look bad. He tripped multiple people on purpose. The end of this Oregon game, brooks wasn’t trying to rub anything in with the final three. There was a 10 second difference between game clock and shot clock so he had to get up one last shot and he held the ball from 30 feet away before tossing up final shot and happened to make it. It wasn’t showboating and Allen should have been graceful in defeat which he wasn’t.

BiggysmallsParticipantOregon is good. Really good. Saw it coming – maybe not quite to this extent – in the preseason. I think they beat Baylor handily early in the year and I thought, wow that team is impressive. Thought Dorsey would put up bigger numbers, but he doesn’t need to because the team has 7 or 8 guys that can do damage on any given night.
They are long, really athletic, they get under people’s skin and they’ve got a lot of depth. Crazy to think they could almost all be back next year if they aren’t fed bad advice.
Dana Altman is quietly a really good coach. Them v Oklahoma should be fun.

OhCanada-ParticipantBrooks wasn’t showboating at all. Teams always get that last shot up. Quite frankly teams and players just don’t like Brooks he talks a lot of trash during the game and is very confident and brash. Although this Duke team in particular seemed very unsportsmanlike including Coach K telling Dillon not to showboat.

mikeyvthedonParticipantI could talk about Coach K hating senior transfers more than one-and-dones (you know, the crusade he has gone on after not getting Tarik Black), or Grayson Allen doing just about everything in his power to paint himself in a bad light (Will admit, I kind of talked about both), but will just say I am hyped for the Ducks! My brother was at the game, he will also be at the Elite 8 game on Saturday and man, I love this team!
Knew we were going to be pretty good, you just never know what the match-ups will bring you in March. Also had a feeling that Brandon Ingram was going to be a tough match-up, which he absolutely was. Luckily, we have a great group of athletes who took advantage of the frontcourt disparity, with our guards/wings making some hugely timely contributions. Jordan Bell had an incredible game and gave us all we could ask for, probably the best game of his Oregon career.
Oklahoma is a whole different beast and I think Duke is going to have a bounce back year once a new group gets to town, along with the hopeful return of Amile Jefferson, who would have made them a completely different team. Still, if a prayer of a shot is really going to set you off, so be it. I sort of thought they might dribble out the clock, but life goes on. Brooks didn’t dunk it, he was happy to win a game, am sure no Duke player has ever been in the same situation (being facetious).
Allen did many other things I thought were much more lame than the way he ended the game, he really does not do many favors for himself. Some people may see that as doing whatever it takes to win, but they are Duke, they won last year! You do not have to be as ecstatic as the other guy, just take it like a grown up. Coach K seemed to signal they weren’t doing that at half time and whether he really congratulated Dillon Brooks straight up or told him not to showboat, Allen was not exactly his extension throughout the game or at the end.
Go Ducks, sorry I had to bring these other things up, but the highlight to me was our team effort in winning against the team everyone vies to defeat!

I.C.Y.U.NV.MEParticipantIf Grayson had shot that shot, in that situation, and tried to hug a player after, he’d be considered the most pompous, egotistical a**hole to ever play college ball. But no, he was on the other end of that and clearly didn’t appreciate it….but it’s still his fault lol. The ESPN brainwash machine is in full swing I see.
